Hi STM,
We are thinking about building a tool to automate our Landing Page Optimisation.
Optimisation typically gives us 20-75% uplift in ROI when we get it right.
Unfortunately most of this work is pretty tedious and boring.
We've outsourced it in the past but are now looking to build a tool to automate it fully and launch that as a product.
So my question to the community is would you be interested in paying for a product like this.
Key Features of our product;
- Drag your landing page folder into dropbox and it will be deployed to the server
- CDN automatically configured for each landing page created or updated
- DNS automatically updated for each landing page and sub domain
- Images would then be automatically optimised for web and mobile
- CSS, JS and HTML would be minimised where possible
We already have about 10 friends will to join our beta but would like to get our beta group to about 20 people.
We are planning on charging $50 per month and would really value your feedback on this.
If we think there is enough demand we will get started on development and get our beta built.
Thanks in advance for any feedback, suggestions and ideas on this and other tools we can use to optimise our landing pages

P.S. If you want to join our Beta Program drop us a DM!!!
Don't do it.
People will be interested but only 0.0005% will actually pay due to the fact that most affiliates are lazy and it's easier to rip something that's already working. Campaigns also die after x months so it makes no sense to optimize.
Affiliates that run real long term businesses have Optimizely and VWO. (more polished product, well funded)
For CDN/minify/cache/image compression, cloudflare.com is super-easy to integrate and it's FREE. There's also MaxCDN.
Interesting.
How would you differentiate yourselves against
- LP Optimizer
- Optimizely
- VWO
Suggestion: If you had built in landing page protection so affiliates would have a hard time ripping the landing pages (it would be even more dope if you protected the lander from spy tools)
Hi Thuglife - thanks for the feedback and really appreciate it - we are looking at the use case of the lazy affiliate who uses spy tools to copy and quickly test existing Landing Pages
We like Optimiizely/VMO for when we are designing and A/B testing variations and original angles...
but in the beginning we often just want to copy a landing page we find with a spy tool, change the tracking link and then deploy it and optimize the existing images.
This is the pain point we are trying to solve - helping those who want to quickly copy, optimise and deploy landing pages they find using spy tools.
As we will often find 10-50 landing pages a day we want to copy and quickly test. Once we find some winners we would then use tools like VMO to optimise creatives and test new angles with an offer we knew worked.
Hi thenjp - great idea on the spy tool protection.
We are more looking to solve the use case for when you use spy tools and want to quickly copy and test a landing page. (see our reply to Thuglife)
We think LPO, Optimizley and VWO are great tools for when you want to A/B test creatives and new angles.
Our problem is when we just want to copy existing landing pages and get them quickly optimised and on too our servers to test the offer.
We might do 50+ copies a day so all the deployment, CDN and DNS work is a real pain. Its not hard, just boring and repetitive.
Thanks Thuglife - Agree about having to check the code and appreciate your feedback as we have not decided to built this yet and your points might save us time going further with this.
Last Q - Do you ever work on reducing the files sizes of the images and html/css/js - we've found that too helps speed things up a good bit. It only adds a few minutes to each landing page we test but again repetitive and something we think might be useful if automated.
I don't know what to say. You can try it but I don't think in this market will work as a SAAS, maybe a one time thing.
You'll have to deal with FTP, SFTP, Rackspace, S3 etc which are a headache for an online service. You also need some pretty good optimization scripts on the server side, hopefully you'll find some API services to help you with that.
There are a lot of things to consider, but the most important thing is to solve a problem that people would pay for a solution with eyes closed.
Thanks all for the feedback (especially @thuglife @crysper and @thenjo) - based on this we are not going to build the product for now - if you have any other ideas for products let us know as we have a good development team
