Working it Facebook Campaign

Click on last Page for updated info

Working on this campaign and here's what I've got so far:

Testing out 20 images on a board target just to see which image(s) will have a decent CTR. The pay out is $2.40 with direct linking. Just spent $60 today to test the images and got 6 conversions so EPC is at .19 and conversion rate is around 7%. I think if I find an angle or niche for tighter targeting I may be able to get a better conversion rate. Will come up with an angle once I find my winning images. My offer is a lead generation of women accessory.

Looking below at my CTR, views, and clicks would you guys say that this is enough data for the other images or should I pause some of the images so that the lower impression images can get at least 5k views first to see if CTR increase ?

If this were my campaign, I would take that as sufficient data to say that you have one image in there (0.251% CTR) which is certainly working much better than the others. I've never had a 0.05/0.06 ctr recover to a 0.25 ctr by just leaving it for longer. Normally I can tell right off the bat whether something is going to work.

Can you find/make other images which are like your 0.25 ctr image? Or just take that one image and modify it (borders, mirror image, increased saturation, etc...)

yeah nick I was thinking of modifying the pic to see if I can get better ctr. now I just need to tighten up my targeting cause I think I'm too board or maybe I will try a few angles with that image

Hey vue thats a nice ctr on that one pic just curious where you got your images from... did you use polar's image pack or scrape them off google?

most of the images are from Google and a few from this forum that some of the mods posted.

K so found a good image that is doing .361% CTR on a board targeting, females, age 24-26, in texas, no keywords, audience is about 1.8 million

So took that same ad and created 3 diff campaigns with 5 ads in each.

3 diff campaign because I am trying to test out 3 diff angles of keyword targeting to see which targeting has higher conversion. 5 ads in each because I want to get an ad to stick with a good CTR. I am starting the bids for all ads at half of the suggested low end price after reading polar beacons thread.

Hey guys does anyone know how I can set up in prosper a way where I can track which one of my campaign is converting the best? I have 4 separate campaigns for offer A, campaign 1 targets girls interested in clothing, campaign 2 targets girls interested in music, campaign 3 targets girls who likes purses, campaign 4 is board and has no keyword targeting. All in USA, TEXAS targeting girls 24-26 yrs old so the audience reach is different for all campaigns. So far it looks like most sales are coming from the campaign with no Keyword targeting but then again that campaign also has a higher audience reach of 1.8 million too.

or does it even matter ? Am I just over complicating this?

Update for today:

My conversion rate is everywhere from 5% to 11% and my EPC is bout .10 to .15 so I'm gonna need my click cost to go down below .10 to start profiting.. How much longer should I keep running before my cpc starts to drop ? Right now any ad that has gotten 100 clicks or more I lower it by .10 cents each day after I run the ad. Should I pause all the other ads and just keep the one with the highest CTR ?

Just started running this one a couple days ago with interest/keyword targeting:

this campaign is the board targeting with NO keywords:

I know Polar said to pause the ads that suck but so far the CTR for most of these ads looks pretty good so I don't know if I should pause any of them or just let them all run ... Should I just stick to one ad? I am hoping to get all or one of the ad to a cpc of lower than .10 cents so I can start profiting.

work on your ads..because a 7% conversion rate ain't that good..altough you are targeting very broad..aim for something like 11-13%..and also pause all the bad images and only let the good one run ( do ad text split test with the best performers and tryfind similiar pics)...

Does it make sense to keep duplicate ads or should I just keep one ad running ( the one with the best CTR ) ? Got one at .6% CTR and one at .8% CTR both ads are the same and in the same campaign.

09-20-2011 03:34 PM #17 vuedoolor (Member)

Okay so after 100 clicks with a CTR of .5% I decided to lower my bid to 20% lower than the min suggested bid price and notice impressions started to go down and then today impressions completely stopped and also ctr going down which I think is due to low ad placement. I created 6 new ads in a new campaign and upped the bids to mid suggested bid price but still getting no impressions and then i've got one ad with a bid set to $5.00 and that one is also not receiving any impressions either. Now what do i do?

I don't think I'm ever going to go below the minimum suggested bid anymore.
