Buddy of mine is finishing his BBA and was asking for advice on what to write his final research project on (30-40 pages with proper analysis and a long list of references etc.)

Like in making ads, you need to write for your audience.
The audience for this thesis is not going to be an STM affiliate.
It is most likely going to be some accounting professor at a university who may not know the first thing about affiliate marketing.
Just as you want to think about what the consumer is looking for when you create ads, you need to think about what an academic audience looking for when you are writing a thesis.
