Question about Pop Traffic and Pop Traffic Network

Hi,

I just started out in affiliate marketing and I have a question about Pop Traffic Network e.g. AdCash.

What do you exactly mean when you are the 1st bidder for a particular placement or geo? Does it means that my ad will always be shown first pop on all placements?

Thank you in advanced!

Bidding can be a complex system to explain.

But based on my experience, in simple explaination, you are right.

In most scenario, if you are the highest bidder for that particular PLACEMENT, your advertisment will pop up first and shown to the user in that placement. In another word, you will have more volume.

However, do take note that your ads will not pop up first on all placements unless your bidding price is the highest bid for ALL placements.

In general, It doesnt make sense to pop up lower bidder first if the first bidder ads hasnt been shown up yet before.

Hi,

since you'r 1st bidder for a particular placement/geo, it does not seam to me that is will cover all the placements.
By the way, from what I know those things are very dynamic, so keep an eye on your status if you currently intend to maintain volume and remain top bidder.

However, pay attention to the difference between the 1st position and the 2nd one, cause if it is really big you can consider to go for a lower position and have the chance to increase your ROI.
Additionally, when you bid for the domains check also their variations (except domain.com) which might have less competition and function well in certain Pop Traffic networks.

What exactly a first place bid means varies by traffic source.

Sometimes it'll mean you get the bulk of the traffic to a placement, sometimes it'll mean you get the top session depth (first) visits to the placement. Sometimes it'll mean you get ALL the traffic to a placement!

Generally it'll mean you get more volume and better quality than the second place bid. How MUCH more volume and quality, though, is something to test or ask about on STM for the particular traffic source you're using. On some sources it makes sense to hit second place instead if the prices are lower, on others, it definitely doesn't.

Hope that helps!

Hi!

There are a lot of explanations on that.

But usually top bidder means unique visitor - 1st click - better quality - more volume.

"so keep an eye on your status if you currently intend to maintain volume and remain top bidder" - I totally agree with that )
