I look to promote cpa offers in mDisplay traffic source , but confused between gaming and pinsubmit

Which Aff Networks are you working with? You can ask your affiliate manager for recommendations on strong pin submits/gaming offers in the network, and then take your pick of which one you would prefer. It's a good idea to stick to one type of offer and master it, because the game of AFF. M. is all about outcompeting people.
hi alex. i think it depend on traffic source or where you promote offer. both are good, and pin submit good if it 1-click flow. u want to stay away from two-click flow unless u haave yuor own property hence being an app or mobile website where u can slap ad thru code. ppl give u two click flow with high payout, but this does not fair any better as it's a sugar coating as they say. from my exp

Pin submit offers I believe will convert better because their offer pages are usually more aggressive in nature. And unless you pick a "niche" type of offer, most pin submits aim to convert the general audience so you can target all placements on an mDSP. Pin submit offers I think pay better too in general.
Whereas with gaming offers, payouts are lower in general (I'm assuming you're referring to game apps), and unless it's a game like candy crush which everybody loves, you may need to target specific placements that are related to your game to get high enough conversion rates to hit profit.
I've only run pin submits though and not gaming offers so some of what I said above is speculation. Hoping someone with experience promoting both verticals will chime in with comments also.

Like Vortex noted, pin submit offers are a good choice to run, but then again so are games, if you can make either work.
You will want to pick a niche and master it, and to be honest ANY niche can generate profit. You just have to know what works and what doesn't work which will be a byproduct of your experience in the niche. So take time to ask yourself the following questions:
- Which type of offers interest me?
- Which type of offers do I enjoy the most, and would have a nice time learning more about?

few more things for you to consider:
1. when you are about to choose what you are going to promote, in my opinion you should take into consideration also the GEO question.
Depending on the budget you plan to invest in your campaigns for start, go on and discover what are the strong GEOs (tier 1, 2 ... or specific countries) for those two niches at the network/s you work with.
2. do a research of the market to see what niche best suits your needs and on which there is more room to come with some creative angles for your promotion.
As a general idea, I think it is important to focus on a specific niche as much as possible to get vast information and experience,
after all in the same niche you should be able to run different products, like various games from the same category.
