Re: Doubts about affiliate marketing

I'm having serious doubts as to whether I can ever make AM work for me. I've launched quite a few campaigns but my traffic source costs always seem to exceed my conversions and so I'm always in the red when I launch and track for a week.

Is it better to just get a job, can this affiliate marketing thing really work. As there are times where I get over whelmed and annoyed. How long should I stay the course, if I'm not profitable in approx 1 year should I just quit and get a day-job.

Do other affiliates ever have doubts, how do you go about coping with it? What did you do that changed your mind about this industry?

Get a job and do this part time.

It's a lot better if your job has something to do with AM.

AM is not for everyone. It's best suited for introverted nerds who enjoy playing it like a game. Not those who think "Oh ill just do some AM 1-2 hours a day, and make a million and work lil and have tons of fun"

AM is opposite, work 12 hours a day, enjoy every step including failure. And then eventually rewards come.... I didn't get into it for the money per say, I've always loved challenges and computer stuff, also I approached it like a business, expecting to invest 4-5k a month into my education testing traffic, methods, theories, ideas. I took adwords apart, one setting at a time to see what had the biggest impact.

I did the same on facebook. To give you an idea, it cost me around 12,000$ to test every single method and confirm my hypothesis to find the best way to always get super high ROI. Today, I can set it up using this best method for my niche, let it go and enjoy profits. But i did invest 5 months time into it. No one handed me a blue print (even if they would've how do I know its the real deal, and not some BS so I go the other way, whilst they are banking with the REAL way? )

I think I'll need to get a full-time job to continue with AM.
