Instagram Ads Now Available Around the World

Facebook opened up instagram ads (available through the normal Facebook ad manager) to the world now.

From the Press Release:

Instagram ads are now available in every country where Facebook ads are currently offered. Markets where Instagram ads are now available include: Russia, South Africa, Chile, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Israel, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Spain, Argentina and Mexico.

Like Facebook ads, Instagram ads feature photos or videos and use Facebook targeting. Instagram ads that are available through Facebook ad management tools support both brand awareness and direct response objectives, including website clicks, mobile app installs and video views. And soon Instagram ads bought through the same tools will be available with more objectives, including website conversions.

Related: 1 of every 5 minutes spent on a mobile device is on a Facebook property.

Dating also works pretty well with Instagram.

Even more than Facebook, Instagram is a very mobile centric product, so you definitely need to make sure that the pages you are driving traffic to are finely optimised for mobile.

I am not talking about their new paid ads platform but instagram in a general sense.
Sure, things may very well be different, but the platform suits dating and fitness.

I have seen very nice campaigns on Instagram for mobile apps in the niche of mainstream dating.

Naturally, things will be different now but I would assume such verticals will still be interesting in this platform.

Because advertising is still new to Instagram users, you should expect a lot of negative feedback on your ads ... much more than on FB itself. This is the case even for mainstream advertisers, and will be even more so for, ahem, less than mainstream categories.

Definitely keep this in mind if you are worried about account bans ...
