Angles and spying... (8)

Angles and spying...

When spying ads, I dont see anyone using angles the way I would expect. landing pages and banners are never related, the landing page and the offer are never related the banner and offer are never related. Why is this? Surely everyone that is putting banners on xhamster and pornhub are not complete dummies.
Is there something that I dont understand?

Generally adult banners are BIZARRE AS HELL to grab people's attention. They change fast. It's not worth the time to tailor every landing page to every new banner, it simply wouldn't be worth the time for most big affs testing a lot of banners.

The banner content also generally attracts low quality clicks (because it charged on a CPM basis on most adult traffic). Having a perfected lander not related to a low quality banner will boost traffic quality in the end. It's all about slowly warming up the leads and making/converting the lower quality traffic to quality so it backs out for the advertiser, allowing you to get a higher lead payout.

Does this mean that I want to test a lot of angles in my banners, have a proven landing page and top converting offer?

One of the good things - and advantages - of working with adult offers is that they are very easy to spy on. you dont need to spend a single buck on spy software, you can just go to xvideos, pornhub, xhamster, redtube, etc and you'll see all the ads that are currently winning the bids. if you follow up on these sites daily you'll start seeing what ads are the 'winners' (i.e. the ones that repeat a lot) vs the new ones that are just out there for testing purposes.

In Adult banners that are more realistic convert way better than banners with girls/guys on there that could come straight out of a beauty magazine. Also flashy banners work better than static banners, the more bling bling the banner the better.

If you are working with other niches that are harder to spy on, id suggest to work with whatrunswhere

Yes, precisely!

For guys who've been running for years, their payouts are most likely maxed out.

At that point it's more profitable to pay and spray, then spend all day creating funnels that will get ripped immediately.

You can rip funnels, but you can't rip payouts.

This is why you see varied funnels that carry the general theme of "fuck for free", because it's far better to spend time finding winning creatives, then building unique funnels.

"You can rip funnels, but you can't rip payouts."

Amen to that

I agree, as usual, with Christoph xD

On adult, animated gif banners are more efficient than static ones. It attracts the eye more.

The image is important, let´s say the most important. However don´t think that images of "local market" characteristics work best, we have had both experiences, some markets prefer exotic looks.

Our team would rather use luminous images than dark/sexy ones; more eye-catching.

Though from our experience as well, specially on animated gifs, something simple, not too flashy in terms of complexity, with not too much text, works better.
