Help! How to track exhaustively my conversions
Hello, I have a big problem and would like to know if someone here can help me.
Currently I'm buying Display traffic (300x250 banners) and creating Landing Pages hosted by myself. I use ClickMeter to track clicks from banners to my Landing Pages but I don't know how to track conversions.
I found this post: http://support.clickmeter.com/entrie...-postback-URL- but I don't feel this is what I want.
I would like to know the exact URL from where the original click comes and generated the conversion.
I think it's better if I give an example:
- I create a display campaign with a 300x250 banner.
- I link my Landing Page to this banner but first I generate a tracking link with ClickMeter so the banner have a Clickmeter link that redirects to my Landing Page.
- I choose to run the banner with sites targeting RON, so the banner will appear on any page of any site that is part of the ad network.
- I received visits to my Landing Page from lot of sites A, B, C, D, etc.
- Only 4 visits from site B and D goes to the Sales Page (final landing page of the owner/merchant).
- Finally 1 visit of this group and from site D and from the internal page of this site - for example (http://siteD.com/blog/article-56) - decided to buy and this user generate the conversion.
So my question here is... how can I know from which URL exactly the conversion comes originally. Also I need to know from which banner because I need to do split testings with 2 or 3 banners and know which obtains more clicks (best CTR).
Yesterday I subscribe to
Adsbridge and now I will test the Landing Page templates they bring so how can I do the same but using
Adsbridge tracking system instead of ClickMeter?
I hope your comments, maybe there's a better way to achive this and use this valuable information (the exactly URL where comes the click that redirects to my Landing Page and then convert) to optimize campaigns for more conversions and improve investment to only the sites I'm getting most conversions.

If ClickMeter can't do this, get another tracker.
If you are running an advertising campaign on display traffic there is little reason why you can't use something like FunnelFlux, Thrive, Voluum etc.
Within those, tracking conversions is trivial as long as your conversion page can place a conversion code or a system on that end can fire postbacks.
Tracking referrers comes automatically in these systems but you should be passing parameters dynamically to them anyway via the traffic source.
