How do I make SOI work?

I recently read a comment from caurmen in which he said that making SOIs work is pretty hard since they scrub pretty hard (compare to the other verticals). I've seen this myself as well but haven't got any methods to prove (just like I don't for bot traffic, I know you're gonna tell me about caurmen's bot guide but I can't use that to get refunds or surely say it's bot traffic) that I'm being scrubbed.

So how does one make it work with SOIs? Continue getting scrubbed and still try to make it work or is there a workaround this scrubbing?

Split test your traffic to 2 different networks and run with the one that scrubs less.

Also, lie less on your prelander/creatives.

How is lying less connected with scrubbing?

because an advertiser might scrub you based on various backend metrics (SOI : DOI rate, leads : sales ratio etc) and if you "lie" less or promote less aggressively that might increase those metrics.
