15 RSVPs for our first Orange County Meetup. I'm buying beer, so you can't go wrong with coming out and talking IM/AM for a few hours. Get off your butt and come out to meet some STMers. You will be glad you did!

Hi Terrence,

Is this only for full time affiliate marketers or any STMer

Guys this sounds awesome!

Face-to-face interactions enhance trust, understanding, and an important sense of a shared experience, and this brings a better communication and new ideas to the 'game'.

In my opinion, a personal chat can get your affiliate activity to the next level, so have fun guys and let us know how did it go

cheers,
ilana

We have it setup for full-time affiliate marketers, but I will make an exception for STM members at this first event.

I couldn't agree more! My AM business exploded after committing to months of networking with other guys/gals in our space. Shut down Skype, get up off your couch and go to a network event. Trust me, it will pay huge dividends in the long run.

It's on like Donkey Kong! We have 25 RSVPs for tomorrow night including a bunch of STMers, network owners, big-time stackers and AMs looking to take their biz to the next level. Look forward to seeing my LA, OC and SD peeps tomorrow evening....First rounds on me!

Hi Terrence,

Looks like the first meetup was a great success! I believe I saw 32 RSVP'd? Could you share with us how the meetup went?

Very much interested in meeting some of the local faces.

It far surpassed what I expected. We had 25-30 show up, from Los Angeles, San Diego and of course, Orange County! I would say 90% were either an experienced marketer, aff manager, network owner and even a few super-affs. I am going to hold the next event in February so stay tuned. Hope you can make the next one!

Heck, I might fly in for one of those if you have it at Hi Times Cellar, and since it has one of the best whisky selections in the US, perhaps you could convince Hugh (caurmen) to come too.....I have definitely spent a decent amount of affiliate money there...

@johna5150 Lol....love Hi Times! It's about 5 minutes from my house and has every one of my favorite Irish whiskeys and scotch. Did you live in OC or just found Hi Times while traveling?

Damn, I am totally envious of your fine location. One of my best friends, a marketer in the College Planning business, lives in Carlsbad, and he introduced me to it...it was also written up in Whisky Advocate, and once I saw that I had to visit. I'm in SoCal once a year so I always stop by, buy some hard to find whisky and ship it home (got a Willett 11 Year Bourbon there in August). I also understand they have a really good donut shop close by, although I have yet to stop in there.

You going to ASW? I'll be there...

@johna5150 - It really is an incredible place and has grown from just a hole in the wall place 50+ years ago, to what you know it as now. I just got a bottle of Macallan Rare Cask last week, that is damn good! I think the donut place you are referring to is Sidecar Donuts, which is phenomenal. You have to let me know the next time you are out here so we can meet up and get our whiskey and donut on like Donkey Kong.

Locked and loaded for ASW....flying in Sunday morning, staying at Cosmo. We should meetup for sure, over a nice scotch whiskey. Is anyone organizing a STM meetup at ASW?
