Hello guys , I hope that everyone's doing great .
I'm launching an info product next week (this is my first one ) and I read somewhere on STM that it is best to host your wesbites on a VPS and that beyond hosting has one of the best VPS's...
I'll be promoting the product using PPV and would like to use CPVlab as a tracking software .
Do you guys think that it's ok to host on the VPS ( it's the 2GB VPS that i'm interested in ):
the offer website(first domain)
+ two landing pages that will probably be advertorials(an additional domain)
+ the pop landers (where the traffic will be sent using PPV) and CPVlab at the time .
I mean, will having all of these hosted on the same VPS have an impact on the tracking (click loss or similar problems) and the offer website(speed load) ?
Also , do you guys think that the pop landers should be on a different domain or is it okay to have them on the same domain as the landing page ex www.landingpage.com/poplanders and then by interacting with this one the user will be sent to www.landingpage.com
P.S : The offer page , the landers and the ppv pop landers are all created using Adobe muse .
Thanks guys
Hello,
What i know ,
And about vos advice u : beyondhosting (y)
Good luck
@heretomakeit - You'll be fine hosting them all on the same server, provided they're all static files. If the offer page is using Wordpress or similar you should probably host it on a seperate server, both for security and performance, but if it's just an HTML page you'll be fine.
@caurmen Awesome .
Do you recommend having the pop landers on a different domain thatn the one they're sending traffic to ?
Example : www.landingpage.com/poplanders and then by interacting with this one the user will be sent to www.landingpage.com
Thanks again
@heretomakeit - Do you mean having the offer page on a different domain to the lander? In that case, I'd actually recommend the opposite - having the lander on the offer's domain is a small but significant trust symbol.
The only exception to the rule would be if you were running very aggressive landers and wanted deniability in case one of them got some bad press - "oh, that wasn't me, that was some naughty affiliate!"
@caumen Thank you man , that's exactly what I needed to know.
I'll go with a different domain for the landers in case something go wrong ...
