Missing conversions in Voluum account!

I started noticing discrepancy in conversions posted in my Voluum account this week, close to 30 conversions is missing in Voluum daily.

Has anyone noticed the same and is there any fix for it?

Thanks!

That sounds weird. Have you reported this to Voluum support yet? If not, that would probably be a good idea.

Hi major,

I worked on understanding how the conversions are counted at Voluum for a while, because I saw differences during the days as well. So I worked through the whole funnel to understand what could be the problem. I started with the network I am working with to see if the postback is coming in at the right time. I therefore build a "postback-hub" which takes all the postbacks I get into my own database and then delivered it to Voluum. The network fired the postback within 2 Minutes. So it could be only Voluum. Together with the Voluum support I figured out, what my problem was: Voluum counts a postback at the time, when the conversion-process was started, my network counts the conversion when it comes in. To be clearer:
a user comes at 11pm 07th november through your link and downloads an app. the user opens the app at 01am 08th november and the conversion is tracked and reported to the network, so the postback fires. In the statistic of your network you will see a conversion on the 08th of november, in voluum you will see the same conversion on the 07th of november.

If you got a lot of conversions and the postback might fire later, depending on the users action, this will freak you out over time. The statistis of voluum are always moving in the past. and this makes it - depending on business model - difficult so calculate.

maybe this helps.

Thank you for the explanation seonos.

I just want to add that what you wrote isnt always true. In your example, the pixel is fired when the user opens the app. If this is the case, then that explains the issue.
But if its an offer that fires the pixel when the action is done (user fills in form, user pays for product...) then that doesnt explain the issue as there shouldnt be a time difference.

mayor01234, are there conversions missing in many offers? In a single offer? What types of offers? From a single network? A few networks?
