Revcontent budget algorithm

Can anybody confirm if there is a budget algorithm on RC?

Basically, would I receive the same amount of traffic (if my bids are high enough) with my account on $100 than $500? Or would I receive more traffic with the higher pre amounts pre loaded.

I've heard rumours that there is an algorithm... I've just not been able to prove it.

Yes they have an algo; and it optimizes towards publisher widget CPM / CTR. So the higher you can get your CTR on the publishers that work best for you the lower your CPC can be for that traffic.

In terms of if your campaign budget has an impact, if you are not hitting the cap daily then it shouldn't be an issue.

Can someone of revcontent get in touch with me? Just checked out your website/linkedin and we would like to start buying traffic from you

I've been told by a rep that the minimum budget is $600 for regular delivery of ads.

Here's the factors that go into RC algo:

1) time of campaign
2) CTR of ad
3) BUDGET >> if you ever max your budget out you goto the back of the line

This is HUGE. What you need to do is bring your bids down at times you don't want to spend. If you've ever spent $10k+/day you really start to get some interesting data on widgets, categories and time of day.

4) Category >> This one is massively important too. Nutra is by far the most competitive category on RC so you are competing for 1-2 tiles/6-8 tile widget on each site. Your CTR and effectively your RPM for RC must be high enough to warrant showing your ads.

There are some other ones there but realize that if either your account or campaign runs out of funding you will lose a ton of placements.

I was told the minimum was $200 in your balance.

Thanks for those tips bro, excellent stuff! Do mind explaining what you mean by "time of campaign"? Do you mean the time of day will effect your placements due to like peak times being more competitive? Or the length of time our campaign has been running? Cheers
