Mobile Sweeps on Decisive & Go2Mobi

Hey all,

Title says it all. After an initial trial period of doing direct-linking sweeps I am now going for landing page campaigns.

All the tracking is set up, however my test-clicks seem to not be registering on my affiliate network. All test-clicks are being registered in the STM tracker:

Name:	Tracking snap.JPG
Views:	99
Size:	38.9 KB
ID:	8922

But not in Clickdealer. The weird thing is that the first test-click did appear to register in Clickdealer but had a weird clickid(just 11). Also, the click was routed through another effort or something. Let's say that the offer I want to run is called OFFERX: in the clickdealer click report it looks like this:

OFFERY --> OFFERX and then the campaign name I passed under s1 and the subid, passed under s2 just says [[subid]].

These are all the links I have set up in my tracker, which I think are all correct?:

Affiliate url: http://cldrf.com/?a=xxxxx&c=xxxxx&s1=Campaignwa&s2=[[subid]]
Postback url: http://thephonehouse.mobi/tracking20....60&subid=#s2#
Click link (Decisive): http://thephonehouse.mobi/tracking202/redirect/tracker.php?t202id=xxxx&c1={{{bidhash}}}&c2={{{app }}}&c3={{{carrier}}}&t202kw=

My AM at Clickdealer isn't responding and this has been holding me up for a couple of days now so it would be great if it could be fixed. Does anyone have a solution?

Please do not run anything at Decisive, it is the wrong audience. Not sure about Go2mobi. Sweeps are usually ran on pops and facebook, because the targetting (read: audience) is better.

Nexage on go2mobi used to do well with sweeps. I'm not sure if that's still the case. However tons of testing will still be required. It probably would be better to just focus on pops as Chunk has just said. So that you don't have to worry about banners.

Okay, those are great tips guys, thanks for the input. I'll divert my campaign to Go2Mobi instead and see if that automagically resolves my click tracking issue as well.

Quick Update

Hi people!

Quick update!

Offer: iPhone 6s Sweepstake – AU
Traffic Source: Go2Mobi
Network: Adsimilis
Payout: $ 2,80

I have launched the campaign for the second time yesterday.
First time I launched it, I received a lot less clicks than I had hoped for and no conversions, while the cost were pretty high compared to the amount of clicks.

I wanted to fix this by making a bunch of new creatives and a new landing page.
Also I have set the targeting from just Melbourne to Australia to increase traffic.

So, I relaunched the campaign yesterday, aaaaaaaand same thing happened.
Relatively high costs - few clicks - no conversions.

Does anyone have some advice on how to increase click/conversion rates in this case? Or have other comments about what I’m doing,
Would mean a lot to me!

Thanks!

How did you get approved for sweeps on Go2Mobi? They tend to be really strict.

Being very careful with choice of words

It also depends on the exchange by the way. Don't even try Google Adx for instance! You can shoot them a quick mail to ask which exchanges are more accepting of sweeps. I know that Nexage and Smaato are two that are generally okay with it.

The screenshot is actually not entirely accurate as it only shows one day but adding the other day basically shows the same problem but then extra crappy: lots of impressions but very low number of clicks. I'm trying to make some more sense of the numbers:
Impressions: 15, 658
Clicks:62
CTR%: 0.40% <-- pretty steadily across all 4 campaigns (wifi/app, wifi/site etc.) However, the wifi/site and mobile/site placements had a CPM of $8,8 and $10,5 respectively which seems crazy high compared to the others. Is that normal for site placements?
Conversions: 0

Some other things I am trying to figure out:
- A CTR of 0.40% seems ludicrously low, how do we fix that? Is that purely a matter of coming up with a better angle on the banners?
- We are using a video in our lander because we haven't seen that done with any success yet (probably for a reason, lol) so we thought we'd give it a try. Is this unrealistic? Especially considering that we are beginners at this.

We are just going to follow the cookbook and move onto the next offer and see how that goes!

Well regarding banners:
- Is it something the target audience wants to have? (most banner traffic is for streaming music/video), not exactly your mom.
- Does the banner catch the eye? However, still it looks trustworthy? Rediculous colors, but still nicely designed? Blue/green red yellow etc. etc.
- Does the user feel it is relevant for him? for example: iPhone fan? Take survey and get for free!
- Is it clear what the user has to do?

I normally dont survive with a ctr less than 1%. 0.4 sounds more that you are having only accidential clicks. But not only that, it seems you have only fake traffic. Go to a better traffic source, or find some posts about detecting bot traffic.

Cheers

Hey Buddy,

Couple of things regarding Pin Submits and Sweeps.

Stay away from Decisive altogether (FOR ANYTHING). They do not supply traffic anymore and you'll just waste you money and time. Ask for a refund here: support@decisive.is and help@decisive.is

Go2Mobi isn't really geared towards Pin Submits and Sweeps as far as I'm aware (anyone?). I would rather use PopAds.net for that.

Are you new to this? If so...

Your offer payout is too high to start with. You will burn through your budget WAY too quickly and not get any data back for proper Statistical Significance. I would choose an offer with at least a Conversion Rate of 1% and a Payout of no more than $1. Ask you Network Manager for a list of top performing offers. Also, don't base your decisions on EPC as the data is almost always scewed.

I would not go with Tier 1 countries like Australia. The competition is too high and you will just burn money without getting any proper data back. Especially with a higher payout. Unless of course you have a massive budget. Then by all means.

As for Pin Submits and Sweeps, I do not know why you have Banners as from the little experience I have, you do not make use of Banners with these verticals. This is probably due to the Traffic Network you make use of thinking that creatives are needed. This is simply not the case.

As for Direct Linking Pins or Sweeps, this is a complete waste of time in my humble opinion. You will have to spy and create some Landers. At least 2 to split test against.

From there, you will be able to start doing Statistical Significance, create variations for more testing until you get closer to turning a profit.

Hope this helps you out a bit buddy.

Keep your head high as I know how frustrating this can be.

Ciao
