Mastering Sweeps One Man's Journey from Red to Green

Hey guys. Been in affiliate marketing for a couple months, started with app installs and the mobile appetizer and couldn't make it profitable so I decided to direct my full attention to sweeps and pin submits from Caurmen's post about the "hot" new verticals. Been getting info about how saturated it's become but screw it, i'm willing to work hard and put time and money into it til I master this vertical. Against all odds as they say.

Basically pissed away a couple hundred learning how to run campaigns, test landers, etc. Now I have a good idea onto the PROCESS of testing, optimizing, etc. and i'm going to stick to that. Offer is the most important thing in sweeps I find, so that's the first variable I'm going to start testing. I'm a complete newbie but I have the will and determination to make this work. Have a mentor in this field who I networked with on skype that's helping me out here and there.

Traffic Sources: AdCash, PopAds
Vertical: Sweeps
Offer: Win iPhone 6S offers
Payout: $2.80
Geo: Malaysia

Budget: $2k with subsequent top ups.

What I did so far: Tested an offer with 3 LPs attached to it. Had like 3 conversions, it was terrible lol, spent $60 on the campaign, maybe I should've spent more (or maybe less)? Adcash has a habit of giving too many bad placements that you gotta weed out first, which sucks for my testing budget.

CTR: 13.90
ROI: -87.09%
Profit: -$56.68

I could post individual lander performances but I think it's pointless. Offer isn't converting well, moving on. Most likely it's saturated at this point, it has been going on for a few weeks.

Moving forward: My main concern right now is to learn the ropes and TEST. Sign up to as many offers as I can and just test them all. Right now I have another campaign going for another offer, same geo, same type of offer (win iphone6s/samsung).. will post back with results tomorrow.

I'm also going to try to get more t3 geo offers with LOW payouts. I think high payout is killing my budget just testing, however adcash has a minimum of $50 spend /day on each campaign which is like 3x payout of most offers anyway.

Going to also try to run on PopAds. Using up the remaining budget i have on adcash on testing offers, have about ~$200 left on there. Lets make it count.

I'm trying to get my AM's to hit me up with a top offer list but two of them are very unresponsive and one of them is unavailable til Nov 4th. Sadface.

Goals:
- Test offers and find a winner
- Test LPs with winning offer
- Optimize
- Profit

What I did today: Slow monday as they say. Offers dried up, basically applied for every offer I could on f5/clickdealer/mundo, waiting for approval on some of them. Have a few offers I can test waiting for approval from my AM's for landers.

I noticed that one of my AM's was REALLY unresponsive for f5, so I requested a new one.

Also I tested an offer and found it's not converting well.. onto the next one.

Terrible ctr.. terrible ROI.. terrible everything.

steps moving forward:
Gotta test more offers. Damn it what am I doing. Trying to find ad networks with good t3 sweeps offers. So far i'm only signed up to clickdealer, f5, and mundo and they're pretty low on the t3 sweeps. Signed up for a couple more.

Havent' done much in a while, had stomach flu. Now back in action.

Tested an offer and it seems to be converting decently. ROI of -65%.. I think that's pretty decent. Gotta optimize now. Focusing on cutting out unprofitable placements from adcash. Then running it again. Might optimize lander a bit, not sure where to start on that one...
