Looking for technical workaround with popunder traffic (2)
Hey guys,
I'm usually not some blackhat/cloaking guy or something but there's one thing I'd like to try out.
It would be worth it to run popunder traffic and drop cookies right now for a certain offer. But obviously when just doing that they will realize your conversion rates and bounce rates suck. So this won't last long. It's not illegal according to their T&Cs but I'm sure they'll kick you sooner or later.
What I thought about is this:
You drop your own cookie with your popunder campaign. But instead of just dropping offer cookie you place a cookie with the function of being replaced once the user actually visits the site on his own later on. So basically the offer only recognizes a valid click through your cloaked affiliate link and gets typical CRs.
As I said I'm new to this kind of stuff. Just an idea where I'd need advice for. Maybe I'm completely off with this one

If its not illegal according to their T&C, I'd just run the pop traffic and ask them what they think of quality after the first conversions come in
If you're really not sure just tell them upfront you're planning to run pops.
Trying to game an advertiser is really short term thinking and can get you burned in the long term. I would advice against it.
