Lets get those conversions rolling!

Hello all, after joining STM last month, reading the cookbook a few times and with my past experience in online marketing. I’ve decided to start a follow-along and start launching mobile campaigns to launch my career in the AM world.

First decision has been to target India as my first mobile GEO. There is a high volume of traffic there and I can use English as an advertising language.

At this point, after checking the LPs I'm going to promote. I have designed 3 banners. 2 static ones and an animated one:

Instead of Decisive, as I kept coming across bad comments about their traffic. I’ve opted for Go2Mobi.

My campaign:
Launch date: 23rd of Oct 2015
Offer: Games India Mobile (Vodafone)
Payout: $0.45
Geo: INdia
Ad Network: Go2Mobi
Angle: Social factor (inspired by the Hierarchy of needs)
Targeting: Mobile (No Wifi) / Vodafone / All mobile devices.

I started the campaign by driving traffic through Go2Mobi (MoPub) and with a budget of $25 each initially (set up some things wrong and went higher than $15, oops!)

Apart from the mobile devices and carrier targeting (Vodafone) I will leave the rest of the options open in order to start getting as much traffic as I can. Then we can start filtering.

Results after first day(23-10-2015):

Spent: $24.57
Conversions: 1 ($0.45 revenue)
Banner B
Spent: $24.88
Conversions: 0
Banner C
Spent: 24.84
Conversions: 1 ($0.45 revenue)

Well, I'm not totally disappointed with this start but I will spend more time on creatives to try and improve that low CTR...

In the meantime I'll be open to any suggestions.

See you soon!

I would suggest to either test a different traffic source or to drop this offer and try out a new one.

You've spend 75 bucks and made less than a dollar - even if you quadruple your performance after optimization you'll still be deep in the red. Cut the losses and focus on either a new offer or a new traffic source.

Hello cbrughmans! First of all, thanks a lot for your help.

Would you suggest to change traffic source completely, or may be worth changing the exchange used on Go2Mobi from MoPub to another one.

Thanks.

Change completely as your numbers are very, very far off from protifability!
