How to track banner and spots (10)

Is it possible to create a campaign with multiple banners and spots adn track in Voluum each banner and spot and website separated? Because in order to do a good tracking i am running one campaign for spot/banner

What's your traffic source? Many traffic sources has tracking tokens you can add to your tracker to record all that data (i.e. banner, spot, publisher site). If you'd tell me which traffic source you're working with I'll try to look up the tokens for you.

In case the traffic network doesnt provide dynamic tokens, you can still make your own. Its done via parameters that you append to the url. For example like this http://www.someurl.com/....&ad=1 ... you use this url for the banner 1 and change the numbers for different banners. You also need to setup these custom tokens in Voluum. Do you guys have any experience with setting up tokens for a traffic network in Voluum?

For Tapit - simply add the [creative] token in Voluum - in your "Tapit" traffic source settings:



As matuloo pointed out: For traffic sources that don't have banner name as a dynamic token, you can still add it in Voluum like this:



....and then after you generate your campaign link, you'll need to replace the "&Banner=Banner" with "&Banner=banner1", "&Banner=banner2" etc., when you assign a link to each banner ad.

(Note that I'm only using "custom variable 1" for illustration - you can use any slot as long as you make sure to checkmark it.)

Let me just add one more thing as I know I screwed that up myself when I first started to use Voluum : do not forget to check the checkbox in the "track" column, next to each token you want to use, otherwise its not gonna work.

Your Voluum tokens look correct. Key question is: After you edited the tokens, did you re-generate the campaign link and replace the links on Tapit with the new link?

If not, the new tokens will not take effect, because they're appended to the Voluum campaign link, which means you'll have to replace the links on your traffic source in order for the tokens to start tracking.

Let us know if that doesn't work and we'll explore this further.

Yup....that would be your problem!

Simply replace the link in your tapit account with the long Voluum campaign URL (NOT the impression pixel URL) and you should be good.
