Thrive In the cloud

Has anybody had any experiences - good or bad - running Thrive on a cloud server. I host all of my sites on Digital Ocean now and wandered if anybody can chime in and share there experiences / server config.

I know your active on here Tom.

We use Thrive's managed setup... $299/month hosted on Amazon. Can recommend it for sure. Tom is a good dude and very responsive to any questions/concerns/installation needs/etc...

Big fan of the software's capabilities and the performance. If you're running a good deal of volume I'd definitely give them a look. Was a bit of a learning process (still is) to figure out how to best use the tracker, but now that we have a good understanding of it, can't see us switching.

@Adamw thanks very much for the kind words!

@ProvokeM our Cloud Service is super fast and scalable, and we're getting closer to rolling out our 2nd generation infrastructure which in our current testing has clearly beat all (yes, all) other trackers in speed, cloud or not, worldwide. Please send an inquiry to contact@ipyxel.com and we'll get any questions answered about your specific use-case answered

If you're wanting how to configure our cloud but for some cloud account that you control, first, is that it is not cost-effective to do it for 1 person. Second is that it's not possible as this is what our team constantly works on and there is a big infrastructure behind it.

If you're talking about booting up a single server in the cloud and doing all the management yourself, it's not really much different than using a hosting provider. Except, I think it's way more work as I don't know why you want to do all that, risk server failure, rather than focus on marketing. Hosting landing pages is infinitely different than performance tuning and server management for a high traffic, data-heavy application like Thrive.
