All-in into mobile. Share tips and tricks!

Hey guys, so I started this APP install campaign in Spain with another affiliate (bouncing ideas, and exchange feedbacks) an we tried to learn as much as possible. We each tried our own angles, but we consulted each other on how it would be run/how much would be spent, etc.

We wanted an offer that would convert easily and from what we read, APP install was a good choice, even though profits are hard to get by. The offer that was chosen was Hola Launcher in Spain . It improved in rank for latin American countries on AppAnnie and we thought it would be a good choice to learn the whole process.

To start off with the campaign, we thought about direct link to see how well the offer does. I created 9 angles. 2 angles with 5 banners variations and 7 other angles with just one banner. A total of 17 banners. I was able to find the offer on 3 aff networks and tested them all to see if one would be performing better.

Offer: $0.18-0.23 payout

We came with some guidelines to follow:
1) Blacklist any placements with more than 5x payout (~$1)
2) Each DL banner gets 5x payout (~$1)
3) banner with respective lander gets 5x payout
4) Create a campaign for APP and one for SITE placement
5) Use decisive

First I tried decisive, however I barely got any traffic because I didn't have the Hola launcher brand in my banners. I didn't know at first so I create another set of campaign on go2mobi and leadbolt. Leadbolt is still pending and I'm gonna cancel it. See results for go2mobi.

CPM 0.2042

It's a bit hard to evaluate the angles as I didn't segregate them well. I had 2 Voluum campaign that each contained all the banners. No one banner really outshined the worst one. I think it's not possible to divide by campaign ID with go2mobi, it would have been helpful to limit the number of campaigns to be made to reduce management time along with costs.

The result was very disappointing. I had a lander ready the next day, but decided to not pursue as we both had bad results from this campaign. I know it's early, but would it be dumping more money in the garbage if we were to pursue?
If possible any constructive feedback from you stackers would be appreciated as this is a low payout offer and I wasn't able to achieve anything, yet I spent so much.

What I learned:
1) You get more or less traffic depending on whether you use brands in your creatives (ie. put hola launcher)
2) Create a set of banner variations and not just one banner per angle. Thinking for the next campaign 5 angles and 3 banners each like from Finch posts.
3) Spy on what others do, and use it before creating my own stuff.

Questions:
-How do you guys manage your Voluum campaigns? Do you create for example a campaign for each of your angles and create a different campaign for your traffic source?
-Is it too early to give up and should we have continued with Hola launcher? If so, how should we proceed?

You know Spain isn't in Latin America, right?

Actual LATAM traffic is usually dirt cheap, you'll get a lot more data for your money if you try there. European traffic is expensive in comparison.
Perhaps a change of geo will set you straight and get you some leads under your belt. Some spying can never go amiss either.

Brutal start - don't get disheartened. It's all part of the game
