Old vs New offers
Hey all
I am apart of several ad networks and I chat actively with am's and I realized recently that a lot of them have mixed feelings in regards to offers.
For example, old offers that are doing well are not recommended by some networks and they prefer to promote the new ones and vice versa.
I can see why new offers can be better i.e. new up rising offers etc but I can also see how old ones can work too i.e. established product with positive rating and excellent testimonials.
I guess my question is ...
How do you judge which offer to promote?
I have an offer which is kind of old (6+ months) but rankings in appannie are increasing (and it's quite high in many countries) and affiliate networks have recorded good CR. It's spread across many ad networks and it's very popular in many countries.
Sounds like a win in my book but it will be interesting to see what others think about it and how you choose your offers to test.
Thank you
Aris

So the offer is ranked high in appannie (and increasing) and affiliate networks have good CR with it (not just one network), it runs in many places...
Where is the downside?
The offer is converting well, runs in many places (networks and countries), getting more popular and its running for a while so chances are its stable. Why wouldnt you want to run it?
You have here an offer that is good NOW so test it.
You also want to find the next big thing? Test new offers as well but I struggle to think why you shouldnt test the offer that you know is good NOW.

I agree with you 100%
I just can't understand why some affiliate networks wouldn't recommend it because it's "old" when the data so far is showing good.
Thanks for your reply

It could be a few reasons.
- Maybe that network isn't seeing volume with that offer.
- Maybe their margin is very slim with that offer.
- Maybe their cap is very small with that offer.
- Maybe they have had issues with the offer owner.
- Maybe they have big upside pushing certain new offer they just added.
There are many reasons!
