if you get some data that works well with adwords try porting it over to Bing - should do better ROI there albeit lower volume.
Note there are a lot of campaigns that pay a lot more than $7... which gives you more flexibility in terms of your bids.
Looks like your off to a good start! Are you only using Main keyword + US city? If so, I would recommend getting more diverse with your list. Also, a good neg keyword list will be crucial for this campaign to weed out the other type of "vet".
Yup. Main Phrase + City.
My keywords are BMM + excact type for this campaign. Only focusing Cat owners.
From my old camp I saw i had broad type selected and thats why I generated dog owner clicks which were unrelevant to my ad
About neg keywords. We will see when the data comes in.. but it may take for a while. Right now creating same campaign for Dog owners.
Thanks for posting and informing us heapheap. Really.
My 2 cents:
- Attention: Atilla's awesome PPCall post was written pre-call-only. Lots of things have changed since Feb 20, 2015 (Google's launch of Call-Only)
- Change your ads to Call-Only immediately. You're losing too much traffic with an LP strategy (PS: call-only has NO clickable LP/URL)
- You don't need a keyword mixer. I recommend you run only “broad match” keyword targeting. Many desktop and mobile experts will tell you to run “broad match modified” wherein you simply put a plus (+) sign in front of the most important keywords. The words with the plus (+) sign can still match to plurals, and very similar words, but they should not match to completely different types of keywords. That’s a fine strategy for desktop search, but not for mobile—and with the insane growth of mobile over the years, you want to be in mobile. With mobile, we’ve seen 5x traffic growth in two years alone. With this hyper-aggressive growth comes a larger number of keyword combinations—and broad match modified cannot capture a lot of it
.
Think about it: Generation Y can type 5-10 keywords into their smartphone with one thumb before I can scratch my head. My girlfriend's teenage son types up to 20 keywords (more descriptive words) into Google's search!!!!!!!
For mobile marketers, the only solution for this kind of growth and thumb-speed is broad match.
- 99% on AdWords Pay Per Call-Only struggle with Veterinarian offers. Here's a campaign with an almost unbeatable angle - match it, beat it or don't compete!

Thanks for this reply!
I already see a bigger picture of how and what should I run. I will try out your spying software also to get a glance what is running.
For now on I just want to do some testing with vet campaign. I wont go shoulders-deep, but just some initial testing since i already started.
I got 2 Campaigns up in Adwords.
For Cat owners i got a regular all features campaign with 300% mobile adjustment. Ad click -> LP -> Call
For dog owners i got a call only campaign. Ad click -> Call
Should get some data in couple of days. Not much traffic flowing in.
Until then im pursuing a new Campaign. Doing some research and getting in touch with my AM.
The 300% adjustment is a pre call only method. No need for that anymore.
Same goes for landing pages with call only campaigns. No need for those.
I'm a bit where you are right now, feel free to add me on Skype for a chat, m8.
I used 300% on pre call method not on call only ads.How come your account got disabled?
