How do you see which websites converted for you? (13)

I'm using popads and Voluum. I finally got to a point where my conversions are tracking and everything is setup, but now how do I see which websites or site id's were actually giving me conversions? I tried going to referral domain and it just comes up with one url which is popads serve url.

The other day I stumbled upon another page where the urls were listed but even the conversion urls were weird long jumbled messes with a bunch of numbers. Most of them looked the same so it looked as if I was getting conversions from the same site but they had different amount of clicks on each url. How do I make sense of all this?

Hey dude, you do this via the variables passed on by the publisher. In your case, PopAds uses [WEBSITEID] as the source/placement, where the your landers were shown. I'm not using Voluum, but I'm pretty sure there should be a context menu on the very right when you enter a campaign that allows you to select passed on variables.

Ahhh sucks you aren't using Voluum because their setup is such a confusing mess.

A Popads > Voluum guide is not the answer.

A general understanding of how tracking and tokens works is.

If you understand the basics of tracking then the tracker and traffic source is unimportant, I highly suggest investing time in this - it is a typical source of wasted time and mistakes for a lot of people.

This helped a lot, but.... I did exactly what is posted in that image. Finally got reapproved this morning. Eager to check website ID's.. and this is what I get under website id variable...

Thank you for this. Not really sure why I couldn't find this before, maybe because it was in the affiliate marketing section and I would never think to look there for tracking help. I went through most of the video but ive been up all night so I'll have to finish it when I get up so I can take this all in.

This stuff seems a hell of a lot more complicated than prosper. All I remember having to do was just put ={keyword} at the end of everything and life was easy. Now it's just too complicated for its own good.

PopAds is a predefined traffic source in Voluum. You just had to add the profile and you're good to go, but at the end, understanding how tracking works like Zeno said will get you the best results.

Im in the same boat...Ive read this thread....but still do not understand. How can I see domain details from Popads in Voluum???

Popads uses numerical codes that refer to its inventory as it is a blind network, so you won't see actual domain names in your tracker.

If you aren't getting any data passed back, as mentioned before popads is pre-defined in Voluum when you add a new traffic source, all the necessary variables are ready to go.
