Creative Tracking With Facebook? Custom Variables...
Can anyone help me set up my custom variables so that they track in Facebook? Something weird just happened to me. I inserted my campaign link into Facebook. Whenever I tried to delete the c1 and c2 value and insert something, Facebook wouldn't approve my ad. Does anyone know the tokens for facebook? Or why this was happening? Don't know If this is a normal problem or if I'm doing something wrong. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

You need to place query strings in the optional URL tags section not in the link directly (if using posts).
Don't paste any link into Facebook that doesn't have a clean back end (read my FB guide), you will ban your account.
Facebook has no tokens or dynamic variables. All links are static.

So here's what I've got so far. The layout is a little different so I'm not sure if its right.

Is this going to work? I understand how you have to send facebook reps to an offer and not to your affiliate link, but I just don't know if I've done this correctly. Your guide is great, but doing this for my first time I'm just a little unsure right now.

Image 1 - remove ? from URL, check that the URL listed (offer lander?) is actually clean, compliant, not red-rated on MyWoT, etc. No need for a postback URL there - and note that you would put a postback URL to a traffic source here, not Voluum (you never need to put a link to Voluum's postback URL inside Voluum).
For the Rule you have made, remove the countries and leave the ISPs. If something has ISP = Facebook it shouldn't matter what country they are from. They are destined for the passthrough.
During approval, disable your paths and just have the default. Set it to go to the clean passthrough.
Once things are approved you can enable your other paths and change the default path to whatever, and then let the Rule you created handle subsequent review clicks.
Make sure you submit one ad first to test the waters and also check your campaign link yourself to ensure it goes to the passthrough.

So basically I'm setting it so that the link goes to the passthrough url, until the ad is approved and running by facebook. Then I'm going to disable the passthrough and make my other 2 things live (my landers and my direct link to the offer through my affiliate link). For Voluum to track custom variables, what you mean by it being static, is that I can pretty much put whatever I want in there(whatever will make it easiest to understand on my part). For example c1=ad picture, and then in my detailed reports it will show up as c1 = ad picture.

or am i keeping the passthrough path active, but only the path which has the rules...so basically anyone with isp facebook etc will be directed to the passthrough and meanwhile every other isp will be directed to my affiliate link.

Yes, just when you get things approved you will keep the passthrough rule live so it catches FB ISP traffic but real user clicks actually go down the funnel path you want.
By static I mean just that - unchanging. So for each ad, whatever is in the URL, that is what will be passed to
Voluum.

lead gen for auto insurance....they get sent through my campaign url from
Voluum. The advice I received was to set it up so anyone with ISP facebook would be sent to an offer page, not my affiliate link. So yes I am hiding the aff link from the facebook rep...So far so good with it.

great i got it. everything is going smoothly now. any idea why
Voluum wouldn't be posting my click thru rate or clicks on my landers?
