I've been on here for almost a month and I've read through a lot of the posts (mobile cookbook, follow alongs, etc.)....and it feels a bit overwhelming. I was hoping someone more experienced can help guide me if I'm missing something.
1) Apply to networks and get accepted (I'm in PeerFly, AboveAllOffers, but really waiting on MundoMedia because I want to run mobile like pin submits, etc.)
2) Apply to advertising networks (only signed up for Decisive so far)
3) Find an offer you want to promote (talked to my AM at AboveAllOffers and he says trials are hot and promote them through Facebook/Google using a cloaker. I don't have a budget for a cloaker so I'm looking at starting in mobile.. Abovealloffers doesn't have mobile offers)
WHERE I'M LOST ----->4) Get a VPS server, domain name, and spy tool like WRW,
For Offer:
Okay, so I can a VPS set up through beyonddomains.com. From there I can host a domain on there and upload my landing page to it. The Landing Page I create on with HTML/CSS or Adobe Muse. Link that landing page to my offer. To get ideas for the Landing Page I should use WRW to spy on other landers.
For Ads:
So for ads I can create ads using photoshop or Paint.net. This can be banners/popup ads, etc. These ads would be linked to my landing page. I would track these ads through
Is this basically it or am I missing something?? The 4th step is taking me the longest because I don't have too much technical skill. I am learning as I go.
Thank for everyone's help in advance.
For a new affiliate this is really option/information overload.
Decisive has the ability to upload a conversion pixel, a lot of networks do.
This means you can use offers that work direct linked and avoid needing a tracker, server, or even a domain.
Start with an app install and some banners on decisive and use their conversion pixel. This way you can learn how to blacklist and white list placements.
If you run outside of fb, learning to properly blacklist and whitelist placements will be what makes you a super affiliate.
Everything else you're doing is just noise!
@thebrent's suggestion is a very good plan, and one that you can follow step-by-step in the Mobile Cookbook: The Appetiser.
http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-The-Appetiser
Having said that, everything you say is basically correct - you seem to have a handle on what you need to do. But if you want a simpler way to start, the Appetiser will give you that - you can get into
Good luck, and do start a Follow-Along so we can give you more help!
I saw this post and even being on my phone i had to reply. Let me give you some advice mate.
First thing, tell your aff manager at AAO to relax and not get any cloaking ideas in hour head, that stuff is for advanced guys with a huge budget and and a solid plan that has been developed for months after many failures and frustrations and many accs lost to get unlimited accounts going. This being said forget the word claoking even exists right now.
Now that i cleared that out, here is my advice. Pick one area you would like to focus on and start reading around stm everything you can about it. Get the Basics down first. Go and start mindmapping the big picture and develop a plan that makes sense.
Whatever vertical you chose pick the lowest paying offers and forget about making money on them. Instead focus on the process and take note of whats going on and go from there, test some more make some more mistakes and once you can make sense of it then read some more, rinse and repeat.
I am sorry if i told you something you didnt want to hear but it will be better this way trust me.
Thats my 2 cents...
Forgot one piece of information, lone rangers rearely ever make it, after you find your area that you are going to focus on, join a mastermind on skype with other people doing the same, if none is available then start one.
Fully agree with yohn1985 here, cloaking is really advanced. A good cloaker will run you about $200/mo, and when you are starting out, you can lose your FB account really quickly.
There is a LOT of white-hat money to be made, so go get 'em!
I can also recommend AdSimilis for mobile offers, they are very strong internationally.
@faizal0908 If you're looking for another top mobile network, contact joanieschneider.dqna . She will set you up at Adsimilis.
