HELP I need somebody('s) help - POSTBACK (1)

I've got an issue with tracking (at least I think so 
Here's some info:
I finally set up my first campaign, yet I have a suspicion that something's wrong with the conversion tracking.
Here's why>I'm running a sweep offer that I was recommended by my AM. I decided to use Decisive as my traffic source and go 50/50 = direct/lander.
I'm tracking with Prosper.
The results are satisfactory, the banners have an average CTR of about 15%. Currently I've got more than 1100 click-throughs (according to the aff.network), BUT not a single conversion. I'm new to AM, but I used to work for marketing agencies and ran similar campaigns for our clients, and always managed to get decent CR, even when the offer and the traffic source were shitty and the client too greedy to spend more money on split testing.
So I guess that either I'm missing something (I messed up something) or the "offer converts on SOI" should be read as "you won't see a conversion, unless the visitor tells us everything, including the size of his briefs, and humbly endures 10 minutes of pure ad torture" 
PS. Update while I was finishing this post - I've just been told by my AM that the offer doesn't convert, because I'm linking directly and I should change my traffic source.
Any ideas what's going on and what should I do?
