Danke Franco, Good point, I appreciate it. I've seen this style being used and not being used so I'm trying it both and see what works. But I agree.

OP needs to be careful of this one.

I don't think this is allowed to run on Facebook. How do you plan to promote it there?

Whatup fellow Californian! I read about Nutryst and have been curious about them, so thanks for sharing. I'll be definitely following along.

First thing that stands out to me is that the link description (text below picture) doesn't actually tell users that there's a solution. Saying "let's find out if there is another safe way" implies that it's an open question. Maybe try something that's more definitive like:
"There's a safe way to deal with these disorders without the use of dangerous and unnatural antidepressants."

Also, there are some misspellings. First ad headline should be "Dealing With Anxiety", and on your last ad it should be "Life is too much of a gift…"

As for angles, what about targeting people who are depressed because of a specific life event or situation? People can get depressed from things like divorce or losing their job, but it's also much harder to date or interview when you're depressed. Maybe something like: "How to bounce back from a divorce when you're feeling down" targeted at 40+ single.

I don't think there are necessarily more women with depression. I think they're just more likely to seek professional help since there's a stronger stigma for men. But targeting men won't be as simple as targeting specific interests since they may not publicly acknowledge it, or they may not even admit it to themselves or be aware of their depression. Maybe try looking for professions that have high rates of depression.

Those are some awesome insights David! And thanks for pointing out the spelling errors.
I'm working on some more angles and optimizing current ones, I'll definitely try some of your suggestions.

I did actually get one first conversion last night!

Looks like you urgently need to pick up some advertising classics like Cashvertising and Scientific Advertising; They are short but absolutely essential.
What to change: Talk in shorter sentences. Focus on 1 thing, speak to ONE person using "You" language instead of "we" or "them, americans" language.
(Nobody cares about "them"). That would help you connect with your avatar. Images #2 and #3 are pretty interesting.
Copy itself must be way more focused and on point.
Try finding more angles, i.e. who would benefits from this product the most? Who is struggling without it right now and why?
Forget the hippie angle if you're not from "the community" - well, scratch that: just forget the hippie angle alltogether, forever. This product is clearly for anyone but neo-hippies who won't touch it with a stick lol Why would you pay for this instead of rolling a fresh one?!
So it's got to be a completely different audience, straight and totally out of touch with MJ.
Just my 2c, hope that helps!

Good points up there.

I would also test more "viral" images and curiosity headlines. Should raise your CTR but might lower conversion. I would test it.

Great comments guys! really helpful and much appreciated. Cashvertising is on it's way to my doorstep.

Nice follow along... I will keep an eye on this one... I belong to the Nutryst Network too and I agree those guys are awesome. Just got started promoting diet avertorials on Revcontent, but all campaigns are pending right now... Gonna start my own follow along as soon as they get approved. Good luck Gerben. BTW http://info.conscious-yes.com/ looks great... I believe it will convert much higher for you... keep us posted

Terry

Do you have any engagement stats for the advertorial? A heatmap tool might help you understand where users are clicking and how far they're scrolling, which would help you pinpoint where exactly you lose the audience. There are some freemium and free trial products like SumoMe and Mockingfish.

There are a few errors in the text and some missing punctuation (e.g. missing apostrophe in "If you havent already heard"), which can hurt credibility.

Autoplay video might make some users exit immediately since they're at work and the sound draws unwanted attention.

One big thing I noticed is that the article doesn't say much about how CBD works. The "how does it work" section only talks about how to buy the product and take it. Most people have never heard of CBD, so maybe talk less about why ZenPro is the best CBD, and more about what CBD is and why it works (the video does some of this, but many people won't watch it). You're selling a "miracle pill", so people will be skeptical unless you're able to thoroughly explain and demonstrate why it's not BS.

Put pixel on your LP, make look a like audience by your pixel for better targetting. Just my 2cents

I'm seeing some pretty good FB no. as far as I know. It's the medical angles like pain relief and things like Fibromyalgia that work well and get a ton of shares/comments and some conversions.

I'd post the comments up here if you could.... those comments on your ad ARE GOLD.

Comments are the #1 thing I like about facebook ads, because what they basically are is people telling you what their concerns, desires, interest levels, problems, etc are.

If you are getting any useful comments on the ads, I would also use those to make tweaks and/or modify the overall angle/copy on your pre-sell page.

#2
Also, I'd start uploading ads through power editor. Not sure if your headlines are 25 characters by choice, or because your just using the ads editor.

#3
If you're having a hard time complying with the facebook TOS, start using LONGER copy (500-1000 words.... i know, i know, thats a lot of words to write BOO HOO! Sit down, write some long copy, and re-write the first few sentences for a split test. Facebook is much easier on longer copy)

Another thing that facebook really likes is videos. I like using Pond5. Heres a cool video that you might want to try and use --- http://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/4...y-looking.html

Combine videos, long copy, and the right angles and hopefully that will help you run easily.

Hope that helps.

Why not just rip some HD vids from youtube using 4K downloader, and cut them together for your ads (atleast when first starting out).

Hi Gerben,

I am running a similar campaign with one of my affiliate with SuperCBD and Cannabidiol. I am not sure if you are targeting in on a specific GEO but I feel like countries or specific states that are more lax with MJ regulations will have a better conversion, since the people and the culture are more accepting of it. I was also thinking you could try another angle of targeting younger people with love ones that are suffering with joint pain but wouldn't necessary want them smoke weed

Peace,
Suen

Hey John, that was extremely useful right there. How would you get the FB comments into the advertorial? I didnt think about it but videos like this are super serious and good to use. I think bannersnack will let you edit in words to look awesome!
Thanks
Victor

Thanks for this follow along Gerben!

I'm doing my own follow along and found so much golden nuggets here.

And congratulations!
