Possible to Lower CPC Cost? (8)

Possible to Lower CPC Cost?

I've attached an image of the ad in question. My question to you guys is if it will be possible to achieve a $.25 CPC with higher CTR?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. This is UK FB traffic, and I really need to bring the cost down. The campaign I'm running converts like crazy, now if I could just get the traffic cheap enough $$$.

As a rule of thumb, I always aim for at least .1 CTR. Split test some more images because .06 in most cases isn't going to cut it. Also, don't be fooled by their noob trap, i.e. the outrageous suggested bids. I rarely bid over $1.

Judging by the high frequency and low reach I'm assuming this is a pretty narrow demo, so you should easily be able to get higher CTRs.

If you stay with the same demo you are going to have to test a lot of new images on them. That one clearly isn't performing well enough. To get 25c clicks you're going to have to be pushing 0.100%+ CTR. I would test some more images in batches - make 4 or 5 duplicates of each ad as this helps get them to stick and get more realistic CTRs.

Bid high, budget low. I've found that if an advert gets more than 3-4 clicks at the very beginning with a high CTR it tends to stick and start taking a big share of impressions, getting more exposure et cetera while the CPC drops dramatically.

So as a rough plan, maybe make a campaign and take 5 images, make 5 ads with each = 25 overall adverts (more images if you can manage). Bid high (minimum + a little bit works well for me) and let them fly. Monitor them closely and you should see something stick. Any high CTR ones are likely to rocket to the top of your impressions pile and stay there. My (limited) experience is that if one doesn't get a single click in the first 1,000 impressions then it's unlikely to stick. When some stick, after they get a decent volume of clicks and you like the CTR/CPC, slowly drop the bids on them. Let the others run for a while, if they are looking crap get rid of them. My rule is that if one gets it's first click and subsequently the CTR is less than half of what you want, I kill it.

If you get some decent CTR ads then let them run as you normally would. If they aren't cutting it I would start a new separate campaign and do the same thing - start with 5x each ad, let them run, see what sticks, optimise from there. Easier than adding ads to the current campaign - the high CTR ads will probably hog the impressions regardless of bid so it takes longer to test.

That's my $0.25

Dude you ain't getting 0.25c with 0.06%CTR fullstop. Time to make some more ads - at least you've got the offer converting!

Thanks for the quick responses guys! I knew this particular ad was not going to stick... I was just wondering if it was possible to get that low of a CPC with a new ad

Uploading more images and testing different angles now!

Yep, it's definitely possible to get .25c and lower in the states. You just need an ad running at a solid ~.25%CTR and above.

Good luck!

Thanks! Actually I'm running in the United Kingdom, should be easier right?

Perhaps... not necessarily easier to achieve a high CTR but if you do get one, the costs would be lower by a few cents.
