Location sensing: Maxmind vs Voluum.

Hey guys,

Did anybody split test them? Is the new Voluum as good as maxmind?

I am prety sure that Voluum uses maxmind IP location database. Maxmind is the biggest in this industry.

I believe that Voluum has upgraded to a different system which to the best of my knowledge is more precise than Maxmind.

In the past, when Voluum was supposed to use maxmind, Voluum was wrong like 50km, while the maxmind payed service was correct.
However, now voluum has upgrated their system, so yeah. Did anybody do a split test?

How is Voluum wrong by 50 km? In any case, you can be pretty sure the likes of FB and DoubleClick are using the top technology out there.

Yea NetAcuity which Voluum is using at the moment is more accurate than Maxmind especially with mobile.
