Sweepstakes Campaign

I have just decided to start a follow along for my Mobile Sweepstakes campaign.

1. Offers: 2
—Country: AU Payouts: $2.40 & $3.0
2. Landing Pages: 2
3. Banners: 12.
4. Traffic Source: Decisive

Offers:
1. I just submitted my ads on Decisive but they were disapproved.

Reason:
Unfortunately, these ads cannot be approved because the landing page has misleading text and content, and there is a popup on landing page.

Landing Page url:
http://iphone-sweepstakes.com/a/au-iphone6s-lp2/

what do you recommend I do?

They don't like your entry and exit js alerts - so you'll need to take those out.

Also, the text makes it sound like the visitor has won, which is misleading. Try to reword the text to say something like "you'll be entered into a draw to win..." or "you could stand to win..." and you should be fine.

based on trying to run a similar LP in the same demo, I had around 5-7% CTR on average, but no conversions. Now I'm running a LP that has like 0.50% CTR and everything about the LP is better, but that CTR blows... but the most important thing is I'm getting conversions now. I'm about -50% ROI right now, but once I get my tracking working I should be able to get it profitable.

But back to your CTR question. My manager says even 5-7% CTR is low. He said 10-15% is the target. But then again if you have high ctr and no conversions then what's the point?

CTR isn't the important metric here - it's CR that will make you money. So we should always focus on maximizing CR.

Rather than asking for typical/average CTRs/CRs, a much better approach would be to just mass-test offers, landers and banners, so that you keep "beating your control" and thereby increasing ROI continuously. 2 landers and 12 banners and 2 offers is just a start. To conquer a vertical like sweeps for a competitive geo like AU it will take a lot of testing, but you know that once you DO tame this beast the rewards will make up for previous losses and more. So definitely start testing a lot more.
