Japan CPC Increase

I know it's a long shot, but is anyone else experiencing a sudden increase in click costs in Japan? My most recent ad was getting 10% CTR but $0.50 CPC, and similar high costs on 3 other accounts. Just last week a 10% CTR was getting me sub $0.10. Also if anyone has an explanation for something like this I'd love to know. Thanks

I'm afraid it's just you. Take a look at the official CPM numbers from untainted sources for all the different devices in Japan:



Probably just the inevitable spiral of downfall from an unsustainably high CTR

Thanks timtetra. Can you tell me where you get this data from?

It's just strange because the account I was getting the $0.50 CPC with 10% ctr was a fresh account. If it means anything, I'm running nutra.

It's our own internal tool that we use to know what countries are cheapest for what geos at all on FB in real time. All the prices on there are untainted prices straight from FB without the effect of factoring in your account strength, history, etc.

I used a new creative and got a CTR-appropriate CPC. Facebook must've recognized my ads on all the different accounts. Obviously the ads and texts were slightly modified, but I guess not enough to fool Facebook. Yet they just charged me up the ass for clicks without boxing me...thanks? lol

Update: Launched more different ads but ended up getting the high CPCs again...back to the drawing board.
