Lander To Offer Click Loss

Recently i have been experiencing a VERY high % of click loss between my lander clicks (reported by Voluum) and clicks reported by my affiliate network.

Im currently using the Amazon CDN setup by Caurmen,

What i wanted to ask is, how do i fix this? What is the problem? Is it the CDN, Voluum or the users internet? Any suggestions thanks.

OK, let me just rephrase to make sure I'm understanding the problem:

Voluum is reporting that you're getting, say, 100 clicks from the lander TO the offer, but you're seeing a lot less clicks reported on your aff network (like, say, 50 clicks)? Is that the problem?

If so, it's almost certainly not the CDN, as the click loss is happening after the visitors leave your lander.

Step 1 is to ask your aff network for an out-of-geo click report on that offer. Are they detecting a lot of the clicks from lander to offer as not being in your target geo?

Whilst you're waiting for the click report, it's also worth running a speed check on the offer. If it loads really slowly, that's why you're losing clicks.

I'm also having exactly the same problem, seeing less than half of the clicks shown on Voluum actually making it to the offer.

Edit - just to add seeing this across all offers I'm running across a few networks.

As a side note, I've never set up my own domain for the tracking link and using Voluum's link - could this cause any problem here?

I've seen similar apparent click loss from Voluum to Neverblue, but it is usually due to duplicate clicks. Have you checked the IP report in Voluum to see how many duplicate clicks you are sending from the same IPs?

Hi guys,

This was the response I got from Voluum (it backs up your thoughts Poolhall).

Such loss is something particularly hard to diagnose because there are many different factors that may cause it. Even though you're running on the best set up (cloud server, lightning fast tracker like Voluum, and a lander that is relatively small in size), you'll still see a 10-20% click loss from your creative --> lander and another 10-15% from your lander to CPA network.

Are you cloaking the traffic to this campaign or using a regular redirect?

In Voluum, we track all raw visits and clicks. It could just be that your affiliate network tracks only unique clicks. This might be also the reason. Could you please check your IP report and see for multiple visits and clicks for a single IP. Simply clarify with your affiliate network if they track only unique visits and clicks. If they track all raw visits and clicks, then we can generate this report for you.
Note: If there aren't any specific factors contributing to the loss (i.e. cloaking, evident over all campaigns), most probably the problem lies with your traffic source or another factor between the initial redirect from the traffic source Ad to your Voluum campaign then it is difficult for to determine the exact cause.

If you have any further queries, don't hesitate to ask.

Check the url of the offer with a browser with Adblock.

I'm also having click loss issues.

30-40% loss from Facebook traffic -> CPVLab -> Avazu -> Google Play

It's a direct campaign with direct redirect, and all traffic is from the correct geo (Mexico). Facebook and CPVLab click count match up for the most part, but the big drop-off is when it hits Avazu
