My affiliate manager is very unhelpful

Hi everyone,
I'm sure you've gone through this. You have an affiliate manager and he either does not reply
to your emails or give you very vague advice that's not helpful at all. What do you do in this case? Can you ask for
a new affiliate manager?

You can ask for a new one.

But how about talking to your AM before doing so?
Maybe your AM is just having a few bad days or super super busy.
If he doesnt reply its bad, if it just takes him some time than can be understandable (depends on how much time I guess).

If this thing continues over time, than you can ask to have a new AM.

Or just try to work with a different network for a while.

I'm not at the point of actually trying to get one yet. He has not replied to two of my emails so far so I was just wondering if it is getting worse, if there is a possibility of getting a new one. thanks

There should be a possibility (dont know how it is in this network). After all you need to be satisfied with your AM and having bad relationship with them isnt good for anyone.

Yeah, ask for a new one if he doesnt react after three emails (always give him/her 24H to respond to each email), and spread your financial risk by working with multiple networks

In instances like this, it may be best to just pick up the phone and call your AM. It's possible your emails are being captured by his/her junk folder, or it's possible you're being ignored. Either way, if you give a call, you will likely get a quicker answer to your questions.

Most AM's should provide you with a Skype/AIM username to chat with them, a phone number, and email address. If you are not able to get in touch with the AM after reaching out through various methods (which is already more than you should have to do), then you should find a higher up at the company and ask for a new AM.

I've been checking. He has read my email twice today... so I think he is working on it. I've got "Sidekick" chrome extension so I can spy on people :-p It tells me when recipients open my emails and how many times.

Yeah I'm going through that same thing with another affiliate network. I sent the AM an email about 4 or 5 days ago and he hasn't reply. I am thinking of requesting a new AM. This affiliate network has a pretty good reputation so it's pretty surprising.

Almost Every AM is like this in the beginning (unless someone refer u to him)
you just have to do some number, and he will talk to you every day.

I am in another 2 networks and haven't made a dime but the affiliate managers are amazing. They always reply within several hours. It's just this one. I sent him another email on Friday. Guess what? He opened the email but did not reply. Sigh.

It's likely because you aren't producing results. They respond to the ones who are producing the most results.

Make some SERIOUS money for the affiliate managers who are amazing and respond to you currently, after that, no affiliate manager will treat you like this. At that point, you likely won't care about this affiliate manager who is ignoring you because you will have likely forged new stronger relationships. After that it will be your choice if you want to work with the guy who is currently ignoring you because at that point he will be kissing your ass instead of ignoring you.

TL/DR: Make more money.

are you running at least 50/day of traffic? you might want to make sure that's happening before asking for a response. AM's need to watch for their own pockets too, they need to see you COULD become big, and trying to do so before investing that time in you.

of course if you are already running good traffic and they ignore you, you can switch AM's and networks, there are alot of people out there who want your business badly.

Definitely true. In this industry, money talks.

But you need to be recommended a good offer by your affiliate manager in order to start making big bucks. It's a chicken and egg situation. It would take him 3 seconds to reply to my email. I also talk to people in life, even to those who do not add value to my life and reply to their emails.

I am not saying that this is good or bad. (It is definitely not good.) However, whether something is good or bad, doesn't make it true or not true.

You can throw 20 offers in your GEO and Niche against the wall and see what sticks.

Or you can work your way through the newsletter top list.

Or you can spy and see what offers other affiliates are running.

Or you can sign up with an new network.

No need for recommendations if you invest the time and effort.
