A lot of clicks, no conversions? (8)

A lot of clicks, no conversions?

So I'm sending some traffic to this one iphone/apple type offer and I'm getting a pretty decent CTR, or so I thought. But despite all of the clicks I'm getting from my lander to the offer, I haven't received one conversion, and it seems kind of odd. So I tried running traffic to the same offer on another network, and I'm getting the same thing, a lot of clicks, no conversions. I can pull up my LP fine on my mobile device, and I can click through to the offer just fine on my mobile device. I've asked one of my AMs if anything was up with the offer but they told me it looks fine and other people are getting conversions without issue.

My question is, is there some sort of grace period or something I don't know of? Are my first xx conversions not counted or something?

I'm running this offer on PopCash and here are a few screenshots of my stats today/yesterday so far:

Well if your AMs tell you they see conversions, then the offer works. Ask them if they see conversions from other affiliates today or yesterday (the time you were running the offer as well) to be absolutely sure the offer still converts.

I think the most logical explanation is that you just didnt have a conversion yet. Its not like you sent massive amounts of traffic yet.

Dont know what network you run with, but dont believe there is such thing like such a lag until you see conversions or that your first conversions dont count.

Good advice, I'll keep it going and even split test other landers and see what happens. Thanks!

mine even worse at 1st i thought something wrong with the traffic source (popads) but then i test it with (zeropark) too.. then i realized the problem is probably my lander isn't convincing enough. even some of them have a high CTR 10-25%. but who knows, still testing it

you've also got to remember you're dealing with the gutter traffic here..

these are pops that appear when you close a window on a shady footy/tv streaming site, and you can't close them fast enough.

and the pop that appears under that one when you close it lol.

oh and the pop that appears when you click "Close Advert"..

and then there's the bots pinging these sites to inflate their pop numbers, and make them more money.

There's defo money to be made on these sources, if you have a decent budget to test, but you really REALLY need to know what to look for and BLOCK everything shit.

If it's a ripped lander, check it for back-button script / cookie redirects / time out redirect....

Could be that most of the CTR is not even wanted.

As well, CTR doesn't mean anything on pops. Bots have been already addressed. Conversion is the name of the game.

If your lander / offer / traffic source combo does not convert, test more and move on. No matter the CTR.

As well audacity: Ask your AM what kind of landers are doing well with the offer. You'll probably not get a link but a hint (happens all the time) or even a screenshot of the overall lander style.

@dynamicsoul Yeah, good point. I've just run some voucher offers on the same traffic source and got a lot more conversions by this point. I'm keeping track of siteids and categories too so I can start pointing traffic to the sites/categories that are winners.

@sebastian_r good point, i'll see if i can get any info from my AM as well as just doing more testing.

@sebastian_r what does a cookie redirect look like on a ripped lander?
