Question: Help.
Question 2: Can I just use Rack Space cloud files, make a container and host a static page for my LP's or is it more complicated than that? Do I need to link them to a domain URL?
You can certainly go that way! Would be cheaper than getting a VPS to host your files. However, I would highly recommend that you hook things up to a domain name. See this post for details on how having a meaningful/relevant domain can impact your ROI.

Wow I didn't even know Adcash had display/banner traffic - I only know about it being one of the largest sources of pop traffic. If you want to test another display/banner source I would highly recommend Go2Mobi. They have a lot of functionalities and targeting options and is newbie-friendly. Alternatively you can ask your AM for offers that accept pop traffic and just play with that instead. Depends on your preference.

Regarding choice of offer: Did your AM recommend it as a hot offer or new offer? As a newbie you would definitely want to try hot offers that have been proven to convert. That way it removes one of the variables at least. Did you check app rankings on appannie for this app? If not I would suggest doing that. I could also check it for you if you'd post the full name and merchant of the app, and tell me whether it's an IOS/Android app.

Have fun! I'll be on the lookout for your next update.

Thinking of taking a new offer. Can't get any banners; including new ones to get a CTR of more than 1%. Maybe I'm rubbish at making banners. Maybe a fresh offer will give me a new perspective
I suck at making banners as well - as a result they're extremely simple and border on ugly, but ironically they don't do too badly! Just "dumb down" your design skills and you'll be halfway there. Design is just a small part of what makes a banner work - the angle and words are a very big part of it, so I would definitely spend more time on research and brainstorming. For example, read some of the user reviews of the app to get some inspiration.

What's looking at the offer in the attached, but it seems to have gone down a bit. Worth it?
I've fixed the image - you should be able to see it now! When looking at ranking trends, it would be better to look at the long-term as well as short-term and compare. Just looking at one day or a couple of days won't tell you anything - could just be a temporary dip or rally.

Regarding those new banners: Better, but still way too "busy" looking, too much text and font is too small. Nobody would want to read all that text. I try to keep my headlines between 3-7 words if possible. Also, if you have smaller text, putting a thin "glow" or "border" around the text won't make it stand out - will make it even harder to read (referring to the banner with ID starting with "9RTK"). Put yourself in the place of the visitor and ask yourself: If I was busy using an app or surfing a site on my phone, would a banner like that catch my attention and make me want to click through?

Thank you Amy, I've certainly learned a lot about banners with this campaign. Just got emailed; the offer's now done and I'm looking for another.

AM is not for the faint of heart.

Yeah unfortunately these things happen. Last time I promoted utility apps I chose 3 offers and had hundreds of banners made for multiple geos per offer - and had all 3 pause on me during the same week.

Offers will come and go, but our skills will keep developing to improve our odds. Hang in there!

Hey jesse hope your doing ok I had some rotten luck with app install offers but it defiantly taught me you can't go slow in this game :/ the banners are awesome! Only one thing i can say about them is that some of them are a little hard to read/see, i can't say anything about CTA and your choice headlines etc since i can't speak Swahili or spanish. Although i can definitely see the difference from the first set of banners vs the 2nd lot you did .

I got photoshop and it's fucking amazing.
p.s. photoshop is fucking amazing XD and sorry i can't give you any good tips or advice atm on how to really improve your campaign :')

Good Luck!
Jack
