Big Click loss (or discrepancy?) on TrafficJunkie

How come both in Clickdealer and my tracker I have (for yesterday) 112 clicks while on TJ, for the same period, I have 580 clicks.

Is this normal?

Thanks.

No this is not normal, its true you will always have some level of discrepancy, but not this high. The % can go up and down depending on what GEO and platform you run in. For example mobile carrier traffic from India will have higher discrepancy than desktop wifi USA, simply because the carrier connection in India is generally slower and lower quality than wifi in USA, so some clicks will get lost in the process. It also depends on the quality of your host and other factors. Looking at my TJ campaigns, the numbers usually match almost completely with a very low loss. So there is a problem somewhere in your case for sure.

Thanks Matuloo. Could this depend on the fact that my LPs are hosted on a not-so-fast server?

Of course it could, you should never run any affiliate campaigns on a not-so-fast server in the first place

The most important factor regarding the speed is fast ping and "first response" in my experience, in other words, the surfer must see some page loading as fast as possible. They will wait a second or two for a picture to load, thats not a problem, but if there is a blank window in front of their eyes for a while, they will simply close it which results in a lost click.

So in case you have a slow host/server sort this out first. Its pretty easy to setup a CDN for static lading pages, you might want to give it a try too. Its probably the most cost effective option anyways.

Yeah, I'm setting up Amazon Cloudfront after reading the new Caurmen's guide. I'll (re)start from there.

Yup, good choice, Im using rackspace cloud files and the setup is really simple, but I guess cloudfront will be similar.

Up to 10% discrepancy is normal. Anything above that is abnormal. I'd suggest to pause the campaign until you have figured out that massive difference.
Always better and more accurate to work with postback (S2S) than with an iframe/image pixel (C2S).

I'm using S2S postback and yes, the campaign is definitely paused. Thank you.
