What is the workaround for running affiliate offers on the newsfeed? Don't you need a page that associates to the offer being promoted? Does everyone mostly use RHS?

I tried to search for this in the search bar but couldn't find much information on it. I also tried Googling it. That's why I thought asking this question here might result in some answers.
I know I need a fan page to run newsfeed ads, I just want to know how the affiliates here are doing it. For example, if you want to promote a Car Insurance offer from 21st Century Insurance, don't I need to promote it from the 21st Century fan page? Or would I be able to run the offer from a regular fan page.
Are more affiliates running on RHS rather than NF? Is there a work around?
I believe my questions might be newbie, but I still feel like they are legitimate. If I asked the question in the wrong category or broke a rule, can you please assist me and point me to the right direction. We are a private community after all and we all pay to be here.

You can use any fan page to connect your news feed ads. However, Creating a relevant fan page would make sense and will increase your ctr.
If you want to promote car insurance then you can create fan page like - Money Saving Trick etc...
