Voluum vs YeahMobi discrepancy - Voluum missing shitload of conversions

Hello,

It's normal to have some delay and small discrepancies between Voluum and the affiliate network. It usually ends up evening out over a couple of days. It's mostly a matter of which hour the conversion has been fired and how long it takes Voluum to move all the info through their database.

Yesterday however, something different happened. For about one hour, YeahMobi had posted no conversions on their platform, in the report area. After aproximately an hour, they seemed to have caught up and continue normally, however there were much fewer conversions posted back to voluum. It ended the day with aproximately 25% of the conversions missing from voluum and today so far it's about 40% of the conversions missing.

The good part is that YeahMobi is reporting normally so there's no direct revenue loss. The problem is though, that with so much data missing, I don't think I can make correct decisions regarding optimizing the campaigns in question. In theory I could try to manually upload the conversions, but in practice we will be talking about over 500 conversions and towards 1k by the end of the day at this pace.

Does anyone have any suggestion on what I could do to have the correct data in voluum as well? Has anyone experienced this yesterday and today, perhaps with a different affiliate network; in which case, it might be voluum's issue and not YeahMobi.

Any input for how to fix this or more info if it happened to you is highly appreciated.

The same here.
I don't know exactly where the problem is, but it's definitely not the first time, and it takes approximately 24 hours to make things right.
So I'm usually just waiting for it.

25-40% is unacceptable. Are you working with S2S tracking or C2S?

I would suggest to pause the campaign(s) until you solve the issue. Nothing worse than running blind - you simply cant optimize and upscale what you cant measure.

This is Lena from YeahMobi. This problem happened because that there was a data delay with appsflyer yesterday. The time duration is 2 hours. So, if you were promoting many app download offers which are connected with Appsflyer, you would noticed that there weren't any conversions between the 2 hours. After then, the data was normal. You should see there was a data boom after the two hours. We are also checking with appsflyer if all conversions already sent to us. You can check this with your affiliate manager later. Hey Lena,

Thanks for the answer. Everything is fine on the YeahMobi reports. I noticed the 1-2 hour delay and the boom so that is 'solved', it's back to what I would think are my normal numbers.

The problem seems to persist with the S2S postback. I would guess it's from YeahMobi's side because others have no problem with Voluum and other networks. It's not a big enough issue to make me stop the campaigns because they are rather optimized and overall I see the revenue vs the spend but I would really want to get the data to maximize by cutting some banners from my test batch. It's hard to say which is good or not without all the relevant data.

I contacted my affiliate manager as well, he is not online on Skype at the moment so he will forward my query as soon as he can, always has

I am facing the same issues, for the last 3 days more than 2000 conversions missing in Voluum. I first thought the revenue wil be just shown in the yeah mobi reports for the next day, but I just realized there is a bunch of conversions/revenue missing. Please let me know if anyone finds an solution for that.

Do you have revenue missing on YeahMobi? I don't have that, revenue is full there for me.

In addition what Lena says - when I used to run app installs a lot I monitored Appflyer's Android Tracking Cluster at http://status.appsflyer.com/723745 and when it was down I used to stop all traffic as the tracking URLs didn't redirected to the Play Store at all. Don't know how it is now though, but this is my experience from few months ago.

Revenue and conversions in the report of yeahmobi seem to be right, but the postback to Voluum is really off at the moment. No money is missing, but as you said, it really makes hard to optimize placements, if such a high amount of conversions is missing to analyze data properly.

Same problem for me, maybe worse. I'm tracking a campaign in Popads and I'm not seeing any click in Voluum - which seems to be impossible with 17.000 visits!

I have the same issue, Voluum shows only about a half of what I've got on YeahMobi. still enough for optimisation, though not as handy as before, especially for low volume placements.

I've changed Voluum conversion domain to another one - nothing happened. then I've tried to download a conversion report from YeahMobi and upload it to Voluum, system said

According to your search criteria, the result is too large to be loaded in a short time. The system will export the data for you to download.
but three hours past and still nothing

Now my YeahMobi CR dropped like 35% all of a sudden (from yesterday to today), no idea if just my campaign instantly died or still tech issues.

Is anyone still affected by this?

Yup, turns out, there were some postback issues, but they're finally fixed it, and it works fine since yesterday.

Filtering for this onth, there are stil ~2200 conversions missing. Did you guys do something yourself to fix it, talk to AM or sth?

I just noticed a big boost of conversions today for 2 hours, but it seemd this were from yesterday, because campaigns performed way worse than usual. Adding hese conversions to yesterday, it would be the expected revenue.

I'm noticing a huge descrepancy too. I got an influx of leads today in YeahMobi that were probably delayed from days ago.

Yep, had that too and talked to my AM constantly about it. I am always very curious about what the cause was, and not just if it's fixed or not, so I bug AMs/support more than most in such situations, haha

Haven't noticed this topic and made one more.
I faced the same problem with discrepancy and solved it by generating xml file of conversions from yeahmobi and uploading it manually to Voluum. It was unpleasand but it could be solved.
Starting from 24-th of August I met another problem and described it here.

"I got into unpleasant situation and they can't explain me the reason of this.
I've been working with CPI offer for 4-5 weeks with them generating $1K+ daily. From the beginning of month everything was stable and one day conversion decreased from 0.8 to 0.61.
Examples:

I'm using 4 types of traffic channels and all of them are different, but all of them showed the same CR drop. Withhin one day (from 23 to 24 of August) it decreased from 0.8 to 0.6. It was stable every day before this date and after it. I can't see any reason for this except cutting 20-25% of all conversions. Have you noticed the same with yeahmobi? How can you explain this?

P.S. for 5 days they didn't give me clear explanation of this. Every day they try to find the problem and fix it..."



So three days before we saw discrepancy of stats (it was approx 25%), but it could be solved by adding conversions manually. This problem disappeared on Monday, no more discrepancy of stats, but my CR decreased the same numbers (CR dropped like 25% all of a sudden)! Сoincidence? Don't think so! What your ideas?

I had the CR drop as well.. I told my AM to talk to tech team and I got everything back to normal the next day, including the missing conversions.
