Has anyone had experience with or seen successful campaigns for selling diet pills without using the trial model?
Seems 99% of stuff running is trial, but people are selling straight sale successfully somewhere right?
Any insight appreciated guys...

He sold the business.
They did display, AdWords, and Facebook. Wouldn't say what volumes. But couple that bought it claim XXX,XXX/mo
Yes.
Most affiliates like the freetrials, but we have successful campaigns that are straight sales.
A straight sale with a goal (as in a 2nd step, a further sale) can get you to pretty high payouts so if you know how to get quality traffic, the potential is quite good :-)
Also, straight sale campaigns are more stable and as such are easier to optimize.
Hey Guys,
I actually own a straight sale Garcinia Offer https://www.optimumgarciniacambogia.com
In my experience it is a lot more difficult to get affiliates on board since the conversion rates are just going to be lower unless you have a laser targeted avatar/pre-landing pages and traffic to go with it…
It takes more time&money to find the sweet spots in advertising.
But there are up sides to straight sale as Affiliaxeoran mentioned, the merchants don’t burn through their MID’s from all the credit card chargebacks or getting the site’s shut down every so often.
So straight sales can grow in MID size over time giving space for more conversions per day and that stability can be nice for a high steady pay out and long term relationship if that makes sense.. It's more of a long con thing perhaps
