Hey everyone,
So I have an offer that is pretty good and is the one I am going to focus on. However, I need to find the best traffic source with the highest ROI. I am going to test the offer on 3 traffic sources (Facebook, Adwords, and Twitter). It's in a niche that is really untapped which is why I am going with those 3.
So my plan is to create 4 ads with the same direct link offer page for each traffic source meaning there will be a total of 12 campaigns. I am direct linking the offer at first in order to see if I can get a decent ROI even if it's in the negatives. If the ROI is closer to 0 (while in the negatives), at least I know I may be able to bring it up with a landing page. If it's in the positives right off the bat, then that's good, no?
Anyhow, how do I know which traffic source to pick?
1. Do I go with the traffic source that has the campaign/ad with the highest ROI?
OR
2. Do I pick the traffic source with the highest average ROI from the 4 campaigns for each traffic source?( (Campaign ROI + Campaign ROI + Campaign ROI + Campaign ROI)/4 = Average ROI )?
Sorry if this seems confusing and unnecessary. But I think that launching ads quickly and direct linking is the quickest way to find out which offer + traffic combo has the most potential.
Thanks in advance guys!
You're really limiting yourself there.
Best I can tell you is start with one, and statistically prove it doesn't work before moving to another.
Thank you for your reply.
Can you elaborate more on how I'm limiting myself? I thought that this would be a quick way to find out which traffic source may be the best for my particular offer.
I'm of the opinion that you're spreading yourself too thin and won't have enough resources to statistically disprove the effectiveness of a traffic source. Versus starting on one traffic source, learning the angles that work, and transferring those over.
I'd say focus on one, learn it well, disprove its effectiveness, or learn what works, then move what works over to the new source(s)
Right, that makes sense.
But isn't it true that what may work for one traffic source may not work for the other?
Odds of that happening? (<30% IMO)
I may go that route.
Now when you say learn what works and transfer over to another traffic source; is that because it's good to diversify?
It's better to scale and milk what profits you can from as many resources as you can before your competition does for you.
