My traffic just disapeared on Exoclick

OK so I am bidding on a placement and available impressions yesterday were roughly 1,500,000 and yesterday I received around 700,000 however at about 7am this morning my traffic completely dried up and available impressions shrunk to 250,000, anyone had this happen before?

I'm not sure what has happened, but its really frustrating as this campaign was giving me around a 50% ROI and now traffic has just turned to a trickle

With one placement, chances are good the placement is just gone on exo. Can have several reasons, somebody buying flat or they trying a different ad network to monetize their traffic.

Visit the site in question and check if exo is still advertising it or if it's a different network or an adserver / directlink.

This is one possibility but there are more :

- when you change targeting options on exo, it takes some time for the system to calculate the new estimate, maybe you just didnt wait long enough to see the real number.
- somehow, the numbers in exo "live their own life" sometimes, so always take them with a grain of salt

etc ...

but most likely, in your case it really has to do with something the publisher did, they either lowered the number of ad zones, switched to another ad network or the site simply got a slap from google and lost part of the traffic ...

I figured this out guys, I was targeting all WIFI and carrier traffic in the same campaign, however when I removed one of the carriers that was under performing it also cut all the WIFI traffic.

Solution = need to split carrier and WIFI traffic into different campaigns, probably should of been doing this already, but the carrier traffic was so minimal on these campaigns that I decided to bundle it all together.

Ok, so you changed targeting, of course the available impressions will change then

When targeting carriers, keep in mind that there are wifi providers in every GEO that are actually marked as "carriers", plus there are smaller private carrier brands that are using the infrastructure of some large carrier, so you gotta do some research on every GEO before you start buying mobile traffic there.

On top of that, you should make separate campaigns for wifi and 3g traffic, in an ideal case you should make separate campaigns for every carrier, simply because the bids will be different for every carrier and when you mix them into one campaign, you wont be able to bid diferently for each carrier. Since this is about an exoclick campaign, make sure you use the smart CPM option, this will help you a bit when targeting multiple carriers as the bids will be automatically adjusted and you wont be paying as much per impression as you would with normal CPM bid.
