Hi guys,
So I've been doing mobile sweeps for some months without much to show for it. It's time to hit the gas pedal and start working more. I'm going to change to a part-time job and tap into my savings to get there.
I've created a system for testing and would like your feedback on it.
Traffic source: Popads (or selfadvertiser.com, not sure yet)
Budget: $1000/month
System:
Main thing: Always have 2 test campaigns running ($15/day)
Campaign:
- 3 similar offers for the same GEO
- 5 angles
- 2 unique lander designs
Each campaign will have 10 landers (5 angles applied to the 2 designs)
Then I let them run between 4 days and a week.
If ROI < -50% I'll stop the campaign and start another in its place;
If ROI > -50% on any angle I'll create more landers for that angle and try to tweak the best performing ones.
My goal is just to find something that breaks-even so I can then test more lander/angle variation and make it profitable. Until now I only get like -80% ROI tops.
So what do you think? Good strategy? Bad?
I don't think you're spending enough... It's going to take you a long time to get significant data at only $15/day on pops. There's just too many poor placements that are going to eat up all your budget before anything happens.
Well I don't have budget for $100/day, but I can run just one campaign and spend $30/day.
The setup is too complex and large for the small budget of 15$ day.
If you cant increase the budget, don't use this setup as you'll dedicate to little resources to each angle and wont get representative results to base decisions on. I'd recommend to simplify your setup to
- 1 offer for the same GEO
- Max 2 GEO's to start with
- Max 2 unique lander per GEO
--> Less work, more representative results, more chance to upscale afterwards from 15$/day to xxx$/day to xxxx$/day
Thank you all for the help! Will adjust my strategy.
