I don't have a company and it's been a required field in every application, I just put N/A since I do not have a company. Is this hurting my chances of being accepted into networks significantly? Would it be worth it to create a company and a website to go along with it? I mean it would be smart to create an LLC sometime anyway right?
I don't think it hurts your chances of getting accepted into affiliate networks, because most new affiliates I know don't have a company.
But if you'd like to explore that option, look into registering your business. I don't know where you're from, but here in Canada we can register a business online - quick and easy.
Getting incorporated is another thing - you'll want to discuss this with your accountant before deciding. Zeno did a write up on incorporating in Hong Kong, and I know kepe95's just finishing a detailed guide on how to do that as well. So if that's something you'd want to consider, stay tuned!

Great points from Vortex as always.
While operating as a sole proprietor you can also just enter your name if you'd rather. I did this for quite a while at the beginning of my AM career before I decided I wanted to pursue it properly.
And yes, if you're planning to stick around in our line of work it would definitely be advisable to set up an LLC due to the limited liability that comes with such a set up.
Again as Vortex said, it may depend on what country you're living in (super high taxes etc?) as to where you want to do it, but it may be a pretty simple process in your own country.
I know I found setting up my first company in my home country of NZ easier than setting up my next company in Hong Kong (due to language barriers, ease of contact, ease of process etc).
Sounds like you have some thinking to do as to how serious you are about pursuing this
Ruby`s guide is great.
Not having a company shouldnt hurt your chances, if you find it difficult to get accepted to networks I would look for other reasons why.
One of the best things you can do to increase your chances of getting accepted into a network is reaching out to an account manager via linkedin, skype, this forum or whereever you can get ahold of them. Having a personal connection within the network you want to start working with is always preferred - not only for getting accepted into the network but this also helps for getting faster payments, payout increases, bigger caps, better campaigns/landers, etc.
