I may be doing something wrong but when I use Hide My Ass on my phone to check out my offer's landing page, I keep getting redirected to another page, sometimes porn. I ask my AM about it and she tells me the link is fine and she is accessing the landing page fine. All I really do is log into the offer's geo, and click on my affiliate link that I paste into Evernote. Am I doing it wrong?
Sounds correct - I usually switch to the right GEO and click the offer link. You mention it's already on your phone so it's a mobile device.
There could be many reasons.. You got this issue with all advertisers or is it one specific offer? My guess would be they redirect "wrong" traffic based on different criteria than just GEO and device type. Or something in your link it might reveal you're not a real visitor, you can send me the offer link via PM and I can try myself.
maybe the offer is carrier restricted? - you'd want to try http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ition-for-FREE!
Yeah as Kepe said it also sounds like the network is redirecting traffic they think is incorrect. You will probably want to sort this out with the network, otherwise you could find your campaigns being rejected by some traffic sources if they don't allow adult content.
This might sort out the problems i'm having with my offers, i have had around 3-4 offers now, could it be that the offers i'm selecting to promote are being carrier restricted so even though i'm using a VPN (Hide My Ass) i still might not be able to access the offer page through my affiliate link? If that's the case it could solve a lot of my problems :3 I'm in the uk on my phone with the carrier vodafone. Also is it common for offers to restrict carriers since almost all my offers have had the same problem, thanks.
p.s my offers are not adult just your normal gaming/app install
If its gaming/app installs then I think carrier restrictions isnt the issue (they are more of an issue with pin submit offers) although worth finding out.
Are you sure your device is suitable to the offers? I mean operation system version, device model...
Ask your AM if these offers have any redirections in place.
