Are You Making the “640 Million Gender” Mistake?
Around
640 Million female users are on Facebook.
But what do we app marketers do?
We create ads for both genders; male and female.
But tailoring ads specifically to female AND male audience can boost your profits massively. Facebook is one of the only platforms you can target specifically to male or female audience – so take advantage of it.
Marketers of the app Wish do a great job tailoring their ads towards male and female users. But
gender specific targeting can work for non-fashion apps as well. Yes, fashion is one of the most obvious gender specific targeting apps – but I highly recommend you try it for ANY app.
Clash of Kings targeted to Women = $$$
A game specific app can be made female friendly by using a
female friendly language, colors and images. And the marketer (it’s an app marketing agency) of this
female friendly Clash of Kings ad is achieving $$$ results!
See two samples below.
So
next time you market an app see if you can create male and female specific ads – it can boost your profits massively.

One of the biggest increases in response Mike Geary had for his long running Truth About Abs product was he simply put a "men click here, women click here" button on his landing page. The funny thing was, the pitch video was exactly the same for both (the written copy around it was gender specific), but response increased dramatically because clicking the appropriate button made the viewer think it was specifically for their sex. Anytime you can start a pitch with the prospect saying, "that's me," good things will happen....
