VPS for tracking & LP's vs. Voluum & CDNs (10)

Hey there,

I've been reading tons about the last few weeks, got my budget ready, got approved on a few affiliate networks, registered to a few traffic sources and now I am just about ready. But there is still one question I have that is confusing me:

I am planning to run PIN-Submits/Sweeps on Poptraffic (I think I will start with Zeropark first).

Question
Now I was wondering whether I should get a VPS and use the STM Tracking solution and host my Landingpages on my VPS or whether it would make more sense to use hosted tracking (Voluum) and host my Landingpages on a CDN ?

I want to keep my expenses as low as possible for now, although I realize that it might make sense to have all the alternatives at a later poin in time (depending on the geo I'm targeting I guess).

If I were you I'd go with the second option - Voluum + hosting landing pages on a CDN.

The STM mobile tracker is great, but it requires having to pay for the maxmind database, and is also a bit limiting in functionality compared to Voluum. Voluum is also easier to use, not to mention faster and has no/fewer hangups than using a tracker you host yourself.

Any thoughts from other stackers?

If you want to spend no money at all go with a free solution like Adsbridge.

Otherwise I agree with Vortex, you might want to invest some money in Voluum.

Thanks guys! What's the disadvantages of using Adsbridge? Looks like a neat solution to me. I wonder why I haven't seen it mentioned before...

they are relativley new compared to Voluum and people say that they dont like not being able to import your landing page and stuff like that, anyways since Voluum went only pay $99+ i gave a shot to adsbridge and have no regrets atm, im still learning a few things that I was used from voluum but nothing i cant learn. I have identified a few advantages over voluum for example i want to just tst something really quick you can use a premade lander and can be up and running in 5 min or less and stuff like that! dont know is fine for me and keeps improving! would test the auto optimization thing this week !

Haven't really try out and take time to explore Adsbridge. But Voluum works fine for me, and as long as you get comfortable with it, you will feel that it's the best.

We appreciate you guys tried Adsbridge. Also we respect our competitors. But please do not think about Adsbridge as a solution just for newbies: with AdsBridge you can do cloaking, with AdsBridge you have a lot of landing page templates including mobile ones and with AdsBridge you can do auto-optimization. Also with AdsBridge you can track loooong funnels like traffic_source -> your_site -> pre_lender -> offer

As for free price plan we have, we provide it because we are a company with a social responsibility and think about all the people including newbies in affiliate marketing

Regarding Adsbridge. When comparing plans, it says "Affiliate Network integration" under features for the professional plan, but not for the cheaper ones. So as a newbie affiliate will Adsbridge be of any use to me if I choose a cheaper plan to start?

Also, how fast is Adsbridge's response time for landing pages? Is it worth the effort to use a separate CDN like Amazon Cloudfront?
