4.49% ctr banner that isn't a generic download now button

So lately many mobile display sources have really cracked down on the use of generic banners, download now, etc...
Everyone knows these get great ctr, so how do you keep your campaigns profitable without them?

One way is to focus on the type of app/site that you're showing your creatives on.
For example, weather apps. they provide massive volume and solid quality.

How do you get people's attention on a weather app?

that did 4.49 % ctr. and made me solid x,xxx profits over the course of a few days. took about 5 minutes work and a bit of creativity.

why a tornado of iphones, of course.

now you cant copy this exact idea because that particular angle has worn out it's welcome on most sources. along with hurricane warning, typhoon warning, etc.....

but it just goes to show there is easy money to be made with a bit of creativity.

Yes! +250 pioneer points for you. Great post man.

I'm confused why people struggle to get success outside of download or fb menu ads. There are a million ways to get people's attention. All that is needed like you showed/said is a bit of
creativity.

Im curious about pin submits. I look at the LP's of some of these high volume pin submits and cant figure out what the user is getting.

Haha indeed great post!

I've been experimenting with imitating the app/site design , but never went so far to change the banners copy itself to fit the app or site. Will definitely look into this. Especially if you got a designer it should be easy to pump out a good amount of custom fitted banners and also landing pages

Very nice! Via what platform are you buying the traffic on the weather app or is it a direct cooperation with the app owner?

Nice. very nice!

Simple looking banner but the relativity to the source makes it "click" (see what I did there?)
