Campaign Question

Hey guys,
So I have this campaign a few days ago. After split testing landers, the campaign got into 50% ROI, then 30%ROI. But the next day, it turn to -30% ROI, and keep being like that.
Then I try to only target the profitable placements, first day I was at 50% ROI. But the next day it went back to red as well.

Does anyone know what could be the reason? (The offer is a top offer in the network, so it converts)

Thanks,
John

I could think of some possible reasons off the top of my head:

-Normal fluctuations associated with different days of the week.
-Saturation at the traffic source / placement (i.e. for small placements that have a lot of repeat visitors, the more days go by the more visitors will have seen your lander).
-Shaving/scrubbing (not accusing your offer's advertiser/aff network of doing that, just saying it does happen sometimes). Seeing as it was month-end when you posted this - this is usually when this kind of stuff happens most.

Duplicating the campaign to another traffic source and comparing results may enable you to confirm/rule out the possibility that it's a traffic source "issue". Continuing to run the camp for a few more days (perhaps at a low daily budget to minimize losses) will confirm/rule out the cause being fluctuations over days of the week. Testing other offers that are similar will minimize your chances of putting all your eggs into a single offer where leads may be heavily scrubbed/shaved. You may also want to try running traffic again now that we're in a new month, to see if conversions bounce back.

I've had the same thing happen numerous times as well so I know how frustrating this can be. Continuing to test different things will help circumvent some of the possible causes. Good luck!
