Is anyone making money using coreg paths when targeting young demo (mostly 0-17) demo on PPV?
I have some nice performing LP's (10-20% CTR) and about 30% of visitors from data collection page reaches the iframed coreg path.
I've tested a lot of variables but no matter what I change my RPU in Silver Path is horrible. I'm getting less than 0.10 RPU, sometimes its as low as 0.03.
I have to pay around 0.20-0.30 per unique visitor that reaches the iframed coreg, so any RPU above 0.50 would give me a nice ROI.
I'm promoting my paths on Traffic Vance.
Here are some of my targets: games2girls.com , funbrain.com , girlgames.com zwinky.com , i-dressup.com , freeonlinegames.com , fantage.com , agame.com , addictinggames.com , clubpenguin.com , dressupgirl.net
Is it possible that the RPU is that low because traffic from these targets is too young? I was always sure that teen/kids traffic will work great with mobile offers and coregs with mobiles.
How exactly are you trying to hook them?
Remember, there needs to be a reason for people to want to complete the path.
Based on your targets, I have to wonder what you are promoting and how appealing it is to the audience visiting those sites. There isn't really a common thread of desire -- people just want to play games. It isn't like, for example, visitors to Best Buy's website being enticed by a Best Buy gift card -- a connection that makes a lot of sense.
Nothing special. I'm using a simple pool lander with topic that really caught the audience (thats probably why my CTR is 10-20%) and offering a free gift (iPad or something) as a reward. "Ask now and win an iPad2! blablabla" etc.
CTR on first lander is nice, CTR on the data collection step is also not bad. The problem is my RPU. People get to the coreg and I dont have to pay much per unique visitor but they are not converting.
If your prize is an iPad 2 or iPhone 5, these batch of kids may just be spoiled and already own iPad's already :P Did you try different prizes(s)?
Yeah, I tried different prizes like giftcards etc. and the results was similar (CTR was smaller than with iPad/iPhone anyway). As I said, they see from the beginning that the prize that they can get after answering is an iPad 2. It's written on the first and second landing pages. They are clicking through, entering the data into the form, but not converting on the coreg.
Toolbars and Premium SMS is typically the best for that demo. All leadgen type coreg blows. Then mail them games.
Are you using timers on your coreg page?
I would split test that top frame with different colors and add some simple aesthetics, play with the font styles maybe? I've tried that today on my pages before the path and my CTR went up about 5%. Still no conversions yet though. I gotta figure out why no conversions as well. I heard adding a progress bar may work.
I'm going to swap the timer with a progress bar to see how that goes.
Is silverpath prepopping your numbers? I noticed they werent on any of mine regardless of who I asked to try. Have you split tested in game theory?
